I don’t think Aussie fans expect to beat the AB’s but they expect the side to improve as they play them. That was the worst performance I have seen from a wallaby team in 30+ years and there are plenty to pick from.
I agree we should not be playing the AB’s so much, 4 times in a row its pointless.
There is a real worry for the AB’s fans too, their worry should be 26k fans in Sydney when they could have 40k during COVID so the fans are not watching ….. Albeit it was raining they would not have filled Parra Stadium. Wont be long till NZ struggle financially they need Australia. We need less games against NZ, its losing the Aussie crowd. We know who is going to win the cup every year. Hence the drawn game of this series is the main talking point. Any aussie supporters going to Suncorp ….. who would bother….
Now with the Boks headed north, Southern hemisphere rugby will be NZ, Aus and Arg, hopefully we can see a PI team. Lets go back to one “day test” a year and alternate that between countries. Also open the wallabies spots to all players around the world, we might have a chance then, SA won the last WC using that method!
