So, hit the board members with the fine, that seems fair enough, however how do you divvy it up? Last year when the current board following on from the contract that the former CEO offered & had signed by Wil Hoppa, which Sharp when they discovered that to register the contract would immediately put them over the cap, refused to register it, the result that came out of this was the board then self reported other issues that they had found during their own internals investigation as to the cap, note Self Reported to the NRL.

That was the catalyst for the PWC investigation that the findings of are being brought into operation. The eels then hired former NRL Cap auditor Ian Schubert to go through the clubs books regarding contracts. The result of both these investigation caused a $450k fine, after a deduction, loss of 4 points, suspended on proviso of no further breaches. Question one, how is it these investigations did not find any such other breaches?

The other aspect in what the media are blowing out about, & nothing as yet has been proved, nor any evidence from the media given as to the validity of what they are saying. However, when dissecting a lot of these reports, & one on an evening news said it dated to 2012, well before the existing board was voted in. On that score, does the existing board who is at least opening up the books for the past along with the players have to suffer fines for acts/breaches carried out under former administrations?

If the fines aspect against individuals for the breaches are to be fair, then the fines need to also be against those who were involved in any such breach, previous shonk boards were kicked out by the members, & this new board now into its 2nd term is trying to straighten out the club, but are having a hard time dealing with past issues.

Can anyone here, David or any supporter of any club say there has been no over caps, or any other item listed in the media reports in the club they have supported? There has been a lot of issues in the past that I could name that have been swept under the table that are worse than this issue. one such event was a particular official of a club found out & then resigning & considered to beyond investigation by the NRL.

Other aspect in this is the whole debacle of TPA & associated payments for all clubs. Who knows who gets what, they are back door deals, time the NRL investigated the whole NRL wide TPA deals along with all player managers & how they arrange them, after all they are supposed to be beyond arms length of the club, with the club having nothing to do with them. Is that the case with all players on them at all clubs?

Fans should not be punished for Eels' salary cap mismanagement

Charges this year have been ridiculous, but not as much as the penalties for those who are guilty. Ma’u should have appealed against his first charge this year when he accepted a one match suspension, it was a nothing as well, NQ’s Matt Scotts shot was worse but not charged. Tapou gets a week for a blatant swinging arm to the head., Seriously?

Foran accepts guilty plea for touching a ref, when how many others were not mentioned????? This is the new consistency. They have to be joking.

Ma'u, James not guilty at NRL judiciary

Mary I gather he has gone past the grey hair line then.

Parramatta Eels: Now with added starch!

I only listened to the game yesterday, & felt like throwing a brick at the radio. I have honestly in all my years of watching & listening to a game heard one that sounded as boring, mistake ridden as what this game seemed to be. Dropped balls, & simple silly errors, where was the boggy ground slippery ball, & how does a player kick a ball forward & it goes backwards to nearly allow the opposition to score?

Defence, is said to be the cornerstone of a team, but there comes a point where attack has to play a big part, week in & out defence may win, but it can also hinder attack, maybe this is the game that the eels had to win in a dogged manner to move on.

One thing is certain though, without the last line of defence that was provided by Tedesco, the game would have been regarded as more entertaining with 3 rather than just one try. If Tedesco keeps turning up like that he certainly tops the 1 shirt especially for SOO.
