Exactly 137 players from T14 and Prod D2 are in the WC.

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

Oups ‘lot’, but maybe loot 🙂

RWC News: French rocked by another injury, Eddie whacks Poms and says Wallabies have one big advantage

I just have been reading the news, Danty was training with the team today (it’s in french, sorry). I believe he will play the first game.
I added a link, that does not seem to be visible ????

RWC News: French rocked by another injury, Eddie whacks Poms and says Wallabies have one big advantage

Baille for sure, Danty yes (but first game only?), Willense is less a blow (to me)

Eddie, as usual, talks a loot (too much) ?
A lot of injuries in French team, but I suppose also few key players will be back after pool games (except N’Tamack). The biggest missing, to me, is Baille for now, Danty is also a blow but if it’s only the first game …

Nice article Harry (as usual, I am always waiting for the next one).
A bit of sand in the French engine today, N’Tamak is out of RWC because of a knee injury during the latest France-Scotland.
I know he his young and will play other RWC, but still I feel very sorry for him and the team.
Now they have to solve this, using Jalibert, or even Ramos at end (but which full back to replace Ramos ?).
They have been working for 4 years on this 9-10 combo (also in Toulouse), so this is a really a bad news.
I am a French supporter, but regardless this I wish to see the best players during this RWC.

What three hours in a bar taught me about RWC contenders - including the 'most confident 0-4 team on the planet'

Nice article !! At the end the Pool C is a pool of “second string” maybe (do not kill me).
Australia being in Pool A or B, I would wounder much more.
Anyway, Australia is favorite of this Pool C with Wales (at least when the Draw was done)
Australia will play France end August, that will give an idea of the level and there might be surprises.
Now France plays Scotland the 12th of August, I guess Galthie wants to test the young (like Gailleton etc).
France A team will be there against Australia, but Eddie always has a plan (he always have at least one), so I am worry if ever an Eddie’s plan work.
I think Australia will get out of the pool games, now for sure Wales, to me is the strongest opponent, but their front can’t face with Georgia.
Georgia has the strongest front in this group, but not the fastest back.
I did not mentioned Fiji, but they have a bit the same game as Australia, the problem is the cards.
My 2cts bet:
Australia and Georgia go in QF.
One month to go ! I wish to see nice Rugby

ANALYSIS: The World Cup wildcard team Wallabies fans probably aren't scared of, but should be

Thanks JD, good article. (it’s my second post, I am French – nobody is perfect),
I think golden generation does not come randomly, you can build it but you need the structure for it !!
First detect the young people, this can happen if you have Rugby competition, rugby clubs, for youngs.
The country and Rugby culture (USA, China, India .. with Million of people can have a golden generation, but Rugby is not present)
NZ as men Sport was mainly rugby, Australia rugby comes in what 4,5 position ?
I admire Argentina, Italia for example.. you must really love Rugby there where football is the king sport
You must attract young and keep them (other sport can be more attractive)
The structure is very important, FFR was less professional than clubs (this has changed with Galthie) !!
The country Championship level, with a real promotion-relegation level competition.
There are many new way of making money when you are in sport (coach, social media etc..)
Money, when in France Dupont is making 800K euros a year. M’Bappe makes it in a week or so ..
With money goes the TV/Medias which is the main stream money for clubs
U20 , U16 is a good indication also, the current French generation was world champion twice.
This year U20 6N, shows Ireland grand slam, France second (lost to Ireland) .. basically same as 6N.
Scotland, while looking good in 6N, got smashed (basketball score), I wounder for next WRC !!
France, probably got several ‘golden generation’, but the FFR structure was really old time (back to amateur, with 1 trainer for the front and one for the back).
They decided (and this is the major point) they wanted the WRC at home and made big changes, the main issue was FFR and clubs, Toulouse as 10 players out during 6N for example (Laporte – I known – Galthie … ) worked on this. I hope France wins WRC (but the draw is not fair I would day)
At then end, it’s more a story of a ‘will’ (along with financing it) at upper level to me. Japan is the best example, Rugby fits their warrior culture they are developing it, bring a WRC there make people and young to know it and love it

From misery to mastery: How harnessing a golden generation and looking beyond the right now can bring RWC glory

I think Dupont is not the best 9, but is the best of a combined 9-10-13, 3 in one.
Last weekend problem for England was to ‘try’ to play a way they are not fit for (yet), ‘speed and fast ball’.
Borstwick did talked about ‘French kicking game – that they are good at it for 3 years now’ before the game, and this was a good reason to bring Smith in the team (I believe he did what he has been told to do, but 3 years to catch up in few weeks is quite hard), it ends up with long kick having a slow front.
England should have stick with what they are best at, slow ball, front row and eventually line-out in 22 and maul, the backs can then start from ‘not too far’, that was the recipe in their 2 previous winning game.
With kicking too long most of the time, they just gave ammunition to faster French, make running the English squad for … making them tired.
Worse, they kept doing it all game (except for the first 10 minutes in second half maybe), then they got tired chasing score.
In Dublin, I hope (for them), they stick to what they are able to play.
About Dupont, I watched few times, before his kick the 50:22 from left, you can see that BEFORE to get the ball, he looks, he knows where his team mates are (most are from Toulouse) also where English are, he spot on the gap and where he wants the ball to be.
PS: I did not discovered yet, how to put a break when posting, sorry !

Northern View: Whole world 'laughing their tits off' at bang average battlers, Dupont the greatest No.9 in generations

Do you think the U20 are actually more scanned or it’s just depends of the people in charge (or the country federation) ? If you look Scotland now (quite good) and their U20 (not so good), U20 can give you few years ahead vision about ROI maybe ?

Six Nations Power Rankings: Irish eyes will be smiling if they can hold off France's final push

Interesting, small details ‘New Caledonia’ is French ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Caledonia ) as Wallis and Futuna is ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallis_and_Futuna ).
So Mauvaka and Falatea are French
