This talk about drunkards and fornicators is a red herring. When did a drunkard ever feel marginalised playing or watching rugby? The most vulnerable people on that laundry list of “sinners” are the ones that we are discussing.

I don’t know what the strategy was back then but at least now, teams always talk about playing in the moment. Forget what happened, forget about the end result, just focus on executing now. If you drum that into players, how could you then turn around and tell them to ease up based on the score?
Also, Marc Ellis scored six tries versus Japan. Imagine telling a guy fighting for a start to take it easy after the third try.

Where I live, Easter is celebrated more than it was in NZ, where I was born. The Big J and his return barely rate a mention though – it’s all eggs, rabbits, lambs, flowers, drinking, fertility, cleaning, and the things you’d associate with the arrival of spring. Easter is after all tied to passover which is tied to the spring equinox. You don’t need to call it quarter break, it’s a wonderful celebration of spring in the north, which it always was before the chr-stians took over.

I’m guessing it wasn’t the verses that he quoted so much as the text he or someone had created listing homosexuals as heading to hell. The verse he quoted including witchcraft of all things but nothing about being gay

Consider that Folau was not instantly terminated – this is the second time he’s done it, the first time he got off with a stern talking to. Second, he still hasn’t removed the post. If they were to give him an X number of games stand down, if he keeps the post up, surely the stand down would have to continue. He should have taken it down by now if he wanted to compromise.
Also, I can’t believe Beale wasn’t sacked. I suspect that if he’d done it today, he probably would be.
