Here’s a suggestion…if aplayer injures an oposition player illegally (like a head strike) and the NRL find the perpetrator guilty, should the perpetrator be penalised time away from the game equal to the time the injured player has away from the game. An eye for an eye so to speak. What do people think?

I agree ‘steveng’, the rest is a shemozzle, and always will be when they continue to play players out of their best positions. There is a best team on field for the Broncos with players in their best positions. Pick ’em and play ’em. Simple. Siebold needs to put his tie on and make an executive decision. Are we here to win or to satisfy the fragile egos of highly paid, ‘past it’ players?

Yeh, Djokovic may ultimately win more GS’s than Federer and be recognised as the GOAT, however I don’t care, I’m one eyed Federer fan and I will always be my favourite to watch no matter what. I think that he has other qualities that Aussies appreciate. Other than being a winner, he is humble, he is a good sport, in his later years….he kept his cool, he encourages others to do well and he is authentic. Djokovic may have these qualities but he doesn’t show them.

A game of Rugby League goes for 80 minutes. Scrap golden points or golden tries. If a team is good enough to match you for 80 mintes or vice versa then good on you both. Both teams had 80 minutes to sow superiority. If golden point is used…scrap the 80 minutes and just have golden point games. It doesn’t make sense. Scrap the golden point. Just sayin’.

OMG…I used to be a rabid Wallabies fan. Can someone please give me 3 reasons why I should continue to watch/follow Rugby let alone the Wallabies.
If RA put as much effort into improving the game in Australia as they have with addressing the Folau sideshow we might be at least going forward. Right or wrong I really don’t give a toss about what Folau postulates….RA needs to focus on footy. We may be no’ 6 in the world and going south….but hey, we’ve got morals…..bull s$%t. Fans want to see a winning Wallabies team full stop. Focus focus focus RA.

David Warner deserves more respect
Any sore of 335 deserves respect. But let’s compare to Bradman’s era….
– flat batting paradise pitches covered every night / uncovered pitches. Just yesterday there was much radio commentary of how Australian pitches are all flat and boring and favour the bat.
– New ball every 80 overs/ Bradman’s era saw a new ball every 80 or 90 runs.(fact check refer to “Don Bradman batting and cricket tips guide masterclass” video)
– Bigger, meatier bats today / bats of yesteryear.
– Todays medical and biophysical science, video slow motion etc etc / 1930’s science and technology.
If Bradman had all the same advantages of today’s batters how good could he have been.
Alternatively, put Warner and co’ against a new ball every 90 runs on sticky wickets and see how they cope..
Just sayin’.

Interesting views Brendon, take the game away from free to air where people from any area or socioeconomic status can watch and enjoy the game. Mmmmm cut out the fans from having a voice regarding the game, the rules, the refs’ and give the NRL more control. Do you work for Rugby Australia?…..sounds like their policies. Aren’t they doing well since they left free to air TV!

I agree AJ. If our main focus is to beat England, India and S. Africa, then we should be blooding young players or letting the newer players gain experience against the lesser teams so when we do play the big three, we have some experience and depth. To keep playing these hacks in the twilight of their career doesn’t take us forward for the future. It is time to plan for the future. The player who left with the my respect was A. Gilchrist. He left when he was still on top of his game and not dropped because he was struggling. The Marsh boys should do the same.

Well said RJ. For years they have ignored grass roots of the game. You can’t build a house from the roof down. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Australian Rugby need only to copy another successful sport’s business model. “U” stated he wants a clean slate. I agree here as well. If we don’t change we are going backwards. Who knows without change our ranking might soon be out of the top 10.
