Is this the same ‘Sir Clive’ who predicted Wales would beat Ireland?
I wonder if he could give me this week’s lotto numbers.

Rugby News: Clive please... Pom blames Eddie AGAIN after 6N flop, ABs set lunch date with WBs, Fiji Drua ace axed

Give up what? Giving my opinion? I don’t think that being active on social media means that he is not focused on his game. Kashmir Pete has said the rest for me.

Rugby union would be a more inclusive, kinder place without Israel Folau and his backwards views

Daniel Jeffrey, if you want to castigate Izzy, then it is logical and proper that you should also castigate the Bible (and the Koran) , the biblical religions, religious teachers, religious schools and religion as a whole. Izzy is simply repeating what he has been taught, which is the same as I was taught at catholic school as a child. (I am now an atheist, thank god). IMHO religious education in schools is far more harmful than a tweet from a rugby player.
During the debate on the referendum on marriage equality, which I voted yes to, many clerics and religious politicians spoke out about the evils of gays and lesbians, so why were they allowed to get away with it?

Quoting the Bible is hate speech?

If quoting from the Bible is ‘hate’ speech, ban the Bible, not Izzy.

Thanks Glider, very informative.

Why Rugby Australia are sticking with Cheika, and why we have more pain to endure

An interesting article. Please could you give more detail about the coaching changes at Leinster?

Why Rugby Australia are sticking with Cheika, and why we have more pain to endure

Great article. I especially enjoyed the rebuttal of the British press comments on ‘foreign players’. They continually criticise aspects of southern hemisphere rugby, especially Australia. As usual, it’s ‘people in glass houses’ again.
I’ve been a fan of Super Rugby since its inception, but this year I didn’t bother to renew my Foxtel subscription when it expired in June. The new format turned me off. How can it be a proper competition when all the teams don’t play against each other? Because of the stupid conference system, teams with fewer points than others make the finals at other teams expense. How is that a competition?
And it is far too big in geographical terms and the number of teams involved. Where is it heading? The Super 39?
