“Good” might be a stretch, but yes they’ve been trending upwards. If they play like they did vs wce they’ll win.

2020 AFL semi-finals preview

Agreed Peter. 1 good game by the pies and it’s easy to forget how poor they’ve been the past 2 months

Can’t disagree Milo 👍

2020 AFL semi-finals preview

Tigers by plenty, although the players won’t want to go in with that mindset given the key outs for the saints, else they risk being toppled. Whilst stk have been great all year, they’re not quite ready to challenge, but I expect them to go deeper next year.
Pies vs cats is intriguing. Cats should get it done but pies seem to have their measure of late. One good game doesn’t mean they’re back in form either. Will they play the 3 big guys again? I think the winner of this game will make the big dance. Pies by a goal. 😱

For mine Grundy is likely carrying an injury. Even his movement and jumping isn’t what it was last year, which have little to do with being out of form. In playing cameron and Grundy coll essentially tried to do to nicnat what vardy and lycett did to Grundy in the 18 GF, in tag team him to run him off his feet. Not sure it had the desired effect though as NN still dominated but in all likelihood the pies would have lost if they hadn’t played the 3 big boys

Think you’re over valuing ah-choo there moose.

Where to next for the Eagles and Dogs after failed 2020 campaigns?

Liam Ryan is a gun. Other clubs can only wish west coast will trade him. Won’t be happening

Where to next for the Eagles and Dogs after failed 2020 campaigns?

I have to admit I thought the same watching live (on tv), but i then watched a full replay with a specific focus on the umps and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as i thought in real time. Probably the worst decision was the non HTB against Elliot that lead to a hoskinelliot goal. The rest of the umpiring wasn’t as bad as everyone made out. The mcgovern one was there, and no the coll ones weren’t the same. Pendles was tackled over the line and the other one (Elliot i think) his momentum took him over plus it was in his own fwd line. There was a couple of non calls both ways but overall it wasn’t as bad as some observers have made it out to be.

Collingwood's win was great, but don't call it 'gutsy'

He was only saying what everyone else was thinking

Kane Cornes' Collingwood prediction spectacularly backfires

Good article with many good points, although I think gutsy is a good way to describe the win essentially for all the reasons you have mentioned. It’s a word that can be overused in football, buy nowhere near as much as other terms, think “star”.

Collingwood's win was great, but don't call it 'gutsy'

That sounds like something Kane Cornes would say 😂 I think Geelong would rather played west coast as the pies seem to have the wood over the cats of recent times. Been such a crazy footy year that no results would surprise.
