They overpaid for Hill. He’s their A grader salary cap wise and he’s an outside mid. Its like trying to stay in the premier league by investing in a left back.

St Kilda in peril yet again - but are their problems due to Lyon's coaching or the quality of the cattle?

Spurs lacking in defending corners
Reminded me of how Arsenal used to play

Arsenal survive almighty scare from Ange's Spurs to stay on top as City cut down Forest

Far too many rules are about intent. The fact it’s a hard game to umpire seems to have become code for don’t try to understand it just trust us

The big mistake the AFL keeps making in its attitude towards high contact

Pretty much all great teams have multiple coaches in the league decades later.

Six Points: Channel 7's commentary, the AFL's most underrated coach, and what on earth is wrong with a draw?

Cometti, Lane, Hudson, Quartermain and McAveney didn’t play afl. They were professional commentators and all better then BT. I don’t know why or how BT was ever chosen in the first place.

If you really want it addressed you need to remove the MCC members from GF day. They skew the umpiring. The blades of grass don’t really matter. Melbourne the best place for the GF just need an even crowd.

AFL News: North OF Melbourne? McGuire's bold idea to rejuvenate Roos, Scott slams sub rule after Anzac Day drama

Haha apparently the umpire was supposed to compensate Freo for Zac Dawson not marking Gunston. From memory Freo kept missing shots at goal, kicked the last 2 goals in junk time and were well beaten on the day, and beaten by Hawthorn pretty much everyday in their 2013-2015 peak

Did you totally miss that Toby Green is miles closer to the ball then Peter Wright was???

Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos

Wood will be too old by the next tour. The main thing is bowlers who can do a good job at a good pace doesn’t have to be express. Just look at Hazlewood and Cummins. If they can bring Archer with say Tongue and maybe Robinson.

The possibiliy of Jofra Archer's career coming to an early end will rob cricket of a bowler with so much talent

If one was to accept that ridiculous argument then wouldn’t 1999 also be undecided?

They are. Have gone down from about 1000 to 500 in a season compared to 3 years ago

'Very challenging one': AFL back ump's 'correct approach' in last-gasp non-HTB controversy... but admit free was there

There seems little takeaway that hiring great former coaches on big money is simply a waste of money.

There are 5 coaches not at their original club going around. Of those Voss was hired in spite of his previous tenure not because of it, and possibly the same for B Scott. Three were hired on big big money purely based on the past Lyon, Clarkson & Hardwick. Money down the drain in general.

Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why

This is the same Scott who after Tom Stewart assaulted Prestia told the whole world what a good bloke he was right.

AFL News: Scott hits out at 'offensive' Tribunal call to clear Cameron, Pies to swoop on star Dog?

I’ll try and simplify it for you. Brisbane by beating Melbourne have beaten a team in the 8. You see there are multiple (more then 1) games every round.

AFL News: Why Cameron escaped ban for dumping tackle, Blues star hit for six, Dees re-sign fan favourite

Cats havn’t beaten anyone who is in the 8 or will make the 8.

Buddy was suspended 3 times in 2010. After he moved to Sydney the line seemed to get a bit wider.

Although the Festival of football failed I do see what the admins were trying to do. If we push out the Grand Final to a week after the EPL ends you can get a last week in May with
– A League Grand Final
– A League all stars v EPL side
– Matildas pre-olympic/world cup warm-up
– Socceroos/Olyroos pre-olympic/world cup warm up
Shame they failed to bring the fans along on the fixed GF venue.

Does the A-League have the clout to make a UK-bound event round work in season 2024/25?

State politicians can do plenty to F*** up your life. If you think otherwise your obvioulsy not from Victoria.

Social media trolling of our sportspeople has its newest victim - but Sonja Hood won't be the last unless we take a stand

Err hell no. Which comrade exactly should decide what is right and what isn’t? Will this mental health test apply to the betting odds that appear? What about my mental health if the Pies go back to back?

It’s hard to regenerate from mid ladder. The problem for Dogs is that teams like Suns and Bombers are going to go past them.

'Stuck in quicksand': The Bulldogs are lost in mid-table mediocrity again - and something's got to give soon

They’ve mismanaged the salary cap. Why sign Macrae on big money if you don’t rate him and you already had Dunkley. Macrae and Daniel, how much of your salary cap is gonna play VFL?

'Stuck in quicksand': The Bulldogs are lost in mid-table mediocrity again - and something's got to give soon

Jeremy would have been better off lining him up jumping in the air and elbowing his head, he would have only gotten 1 week.

'Totally unacceptable': AFL bans Port star for 'unprompted and highly offensive' homophobic slur

So the Melbourne Rebels who can’t get anyone to watch them in the heart of Australia’s most famous sporting precinct want to move to a stadium in the middle of nowhere with no public transport

Western United's football-specific facility is a milestone worth celebrating
