Mate agree with everything you said. I’m all about the hard carries. Which is why I’m quite high on Selwyn at a young age with his strong carries.

Not really simple answers Souths fan. Firstly nothing simple with Freddy he is clueless.
Well if you are going to go with connection with Cody Walker you would go Alex Johnson(not saying that’s the right call) don’t have the stats in front of my but I would imagine Walker and Addo carr have played less then 5 games together. Walker and Johnson probably over 150 more. Addo Carr will be a passenger again.
Of course Coates delivered at the end of that backline, Scott Minto would have a blinder in that Qld team.
And Cobbo is just as ingrained in that Qld team if not more so then Coates .
Regardless I do think his hip has something to do with it

I would love to see gold coast change their name. Titans was a terrible choice I believe at the time they had a fan poll or something, and they were at one time considering dolphins before being threatened with legal action by the Redcliffe dolphins.
But noone can get behind a titan. Absolute rubbish. Gold coast kookaburras, stingrays something relateable. Yes I know broncos, storm , port power etc but a bit different. Gold coast has been a graveyard for sporting teams , they needed to hit the nail on the head with the marketing side and imo they were behind the eight ball straight away going with titans

Agree 100% don’t rate Coates at all. But like you I was actually surprised by his game 2. Played a bit tougher than I have seen previously

Full disclosure qlder here. But how on earth does Addo carr retain his spot? He’s just about been the worst player from both teams throughout the series.
Don’t like Coates over cobbo. Coates is just a finisher. Love cobbos strong carries out of trouble. Gee he will be a player. 20 odd years old , tough and athletic sky’s the limit

I must admitt watching it live it didn’t sit with me well at first. But I didn’t exactly know the rules surrounding it.
However now I think completely fair game.
For one Bairstow didn’t even turn around, poor awareness. Secondly all the poms are saying the umpire at bowlers end was ready to give hat back to bowler but green was still halfway up the pitch when the ball hit the stumps.
Just lazy arrogant stuff from Bairstow .And again poor match awareness
The catch and throw in one motion is also key.
