Yep, am amazed Maxwell has managed to dodge any significant criticism. Sure he does ok in the field but that is not enough. Averaging 18. Something over 9 goes with the bat. Rubbish!
Wounded Australia fall to South Africa, drop top spot ahead of World Cup finals
Right on Harvey. Everyone here rabbiting on about Marsh, Hanscombe et al. The elephant in the room is the liability they are carrying with Maxwell. Another failure against SA. Averaging around 18 in 9 innings. But gee he gets em fast ! Lol.
Maxwell, Marsh injured as Australia forced into World Cup swap
I agree, and I also note that he still cant get a game with Maxwell failing time and time again. 8 innings with an average of around 18. Apparently, he was quoted the other day as saying “I have never hit the ball better”. I guess if you only face a few balls you could say that. Australia’s WC chances would have improved dramatically if Starc ( or was it Cummins) had done a better job on Maxwell. ( maybe they were trying to?).
Shaun Marsh's excellent ODI career deserves more credit than it gets
Yes he did but who has been shouting the loudest about this, the Rainbow Warriors. Everyone else singled out by Izzy couldnt give a flying you know what but not the Rainbow brigade and all the sanctimonious numpties in support. Why oh why is the Roar continuing to post inflammatory articles like this. It aint even a good one. If we wanted this sort of crud we would tune into the Q&A flog fest on Monday nights.
Giving to Israel Folau isn't patriotic, it's funding fanaticism
If RA lose the subsequent court case (if). I hope Rainbow Warrior Joyce steps up with his cheque book and puts his money where his mouth is.
Why I donated to Israel Folau - and why I will again
I’m with you. Fed up to the back teeth with these sanctimonious twats. Wasnt going to donate but now that the Go Fund Me hypocrites have had their say, I am in. Bring on the suit I say.

He must be an aborigine, they are the only folk who get booed, apparently.

Quade Cooper booed as he enters the cauldron as Rebels lose spectacularly
Gee I had a read of all the comments hear. And it is amazing the number of people making virtuous statements left right and centre and probably most have never lived in and around indigenous folk and seen the abject misery that is the “Aboriginal sorry industry” of today. Symbolic stuff like not singing the anthem or welcome to country BS does nothing for solving the problem. We spend $32,000 million ( more than our Defence budget) every year and what do we have to show for it. I have worked with troubled youth in the NT (Darwin and Katherine) and I can tell you all, the greatest threat to our Indigenous people is you ‘apologist and sorry industry mob” in the big smoke. The ‘sit down money’ and the handouts you all demand ( = drugs and booze) is fueling unparalleled levels of sickness, violence, child abuse and cultural destruction. I was there in the 70’s and the level of depravity now is exponentially worse. The Sorry Industry is growing unchallenged and this article like a thousand others does zero, zip, nada for solving the problem.
“You all know nothing John Snow”
Two Aussies won't sing the national anthem. Let's find out why
Gee on that basis they seem to be involved disproportionately in crime. Thanks to your superior math acumen that is now clear. Well done.

I know this post is about Rugby …but it isnt really is it, it is something society is at war over. George Orwell would have a field say…. a quote
“Totalitarianism comes in different forms. Even with hindsight, some people, especially the young, will struggle to recognise despots and tyrants of past eras. The new form of tyranny is even harder to spot for some. We are engulfed by new guises of an old tyranny, sweet-sounding laws, roving bureaucrats, ubiquitous codes of conduct, endless claims to inclusivity that exclude people with different views, the modern god of diversity, a most hypocritical divinity, that has no time for diverse opinions, a new lexicon of words slowly and surely strangling liberty. One day we will look back, ashamed of ourselves for not doing more to combat this new totalitarianism”.
Australia decides: Who would vote for Izzy?
Well the relevance is, Peter Beaty, the ARL commissioner has “piled on” about IR, which is what this whole discussion is about. I was merely pointing out that they appear to hold IR to a different standard than their own players.

Sorry – meant Peter Beaty. The ARL Commissioner

And now Paul Beaty has piled on with a decision not to let him play again in rugby league. Geez anybody would think he bashed his partner, oh sorry, that just warrants a suspension in league.

The other thing about this that is intriquing , is that Genia, Foley, and others along with the coach reckon he cant fit into the team anymore. Is that because he holds such views as he has expressed or because he tweeted them? If it is the former than there are quite a few other Wallabies that they probably cant play with ( or fit into the team). If it is the latter then it is ok to have religious views but dont express them ( “particularly if it my upset our sponsor and my paypacket”). Anyone see the rank hypocrisy in any of this?

I just dont believe this is about what Folau said, IMO it was not particularly hateful ( didnt see any drinkers or adulterers getting nasty over it). I do think it is very much about the propensity for folks getting “offended” at the slightest thing that crosses their bows. QANTAS CEO is in the driver’s seat here, he is a Rainbow Warrior but one who only looks one way. He wont make a stand against his Emirate Airline mates who want to do a lot worse to gays here on earth (let alone some imaginary place called Hell). RA are broke and must do what he says. The average “rugger bugger” ( geez is that offensive?) doesnt give a flyin you know what about what Israel tweets.

No we are not talking about an equal share of things as if we are issuing cake we are talking about performance sport which attracts sponsorship, govt funding and has revenues. You then must reward Performance not effort. If you played in 1st grade and received a % of gate takings would you want to handover half your pay to reserve grade in another league who didnt have more than a hand full of people show up to watch.
About time we spoke about equal pay for elite female athletes
Head plays far too many shots in the air. There were a number of close calls in his innings.
Travis Head scores maiden Test ton thanks to another Sri Lankan drop
Has an air of desperation ‘dunnit’
CONFIRMED: Australia name unchanged XI for second Sri Lanka Test
Absolutely agree. If he is good as everyone is saying why not give him a showing. We are all keen to see the young gun play but good ole dull and boring ACB. Just dreadful. And if Usi fails again, when is the next chance?

Sub continent – stuff like this happens all the time
Commentators shocked as Steve Smith is controversially given out
Well done Josh – a good preseason summary. I too am worried about JD – if he aint fit the Bombers will be disrupted again. Mind you if they play footy like they did late in last year’s season I will be more than happy. And if they can find that form again – they will do better then a 4 finish. Bring on the footy season ….. the sooner we can forget about cricket the better.
Essendon 2019 season preview: Best 22 and predicted finish
Why oh why wont they give Matty Wade a shot?
