Wow what an article! You guys really know your rugby and here I am the ignorant fool that thought I had heyneke all worked out. Lol I wonder what heyneke would think if he had to read this. Great read thanks

Meyer experimented in 2015, but what with exactly?

The ball wasn’t kicked onto read it was passed to him and he jumped in the air to catch it therefore its not a penalty

[Highlights] All Blacks overcome Springboks with late try

I really want the springboks to win but I just don’t see it happening, I’m predicting all blacks to win by 9 and wallabies to win by 7.

I hope I’m wrong though

The Rugby Championship 2015 Week 2: The Big Questions

I don’t think the situation is as bad as you make it out to be, there’s still loads of money and as for the talent did you watch craven week this year? There’s certainly no shortage of talent coming through

Springbok rugby: Look on ye mighty and despair

Your absolutely right, it worries me that come WC time he’s going to retreat back into his conservative shell (not that he ventured very far out of it) and select all the old guys like steyn and kirchner that fitted his game plan years ago

Wallabies represent the antithesis of Springbok rugby

I think we have good quality depth at prop but that position is a lot about the right combinations and I think they got that wrong on Saturday, Malherbe is a fantastic prop and scrums well with kitshoff, I don’t think he had ever played with heinke before. We have good hookers to but it was crazy to take bissie off. We are thin on locks and wings unfortunately and we do have talent at srum half and centre but through bad management we haven’t developed that talent into true reliable test players unfortunately

Wallabies represent the antithesis of Springbok rugby

BB, I think most of us springbok fans are just as frustrated as you are, the worst part is that heyneke keeps talking about change and adapting but when comes to the actual game we see that he still believes in his old game plan. I think that the pressure put on him from their poor performances in the past has forced him to change things a little but when its crunch time hes a man that will do what he truly has faith in and that’s the one dimensional negative rugby game plan and I think that’s probably what we will see in the WC. I think they have the players with potential to win the WC but unfortunately we have a coaching group living in a dream world. Failed tactics lost us the game on Saturday but I read in the news meyer blames inexperience as the reason we couldn’t hold onto our lead. It was so obvious that poorly timed and incorrect substitutions mixed with the fact that they stopped trying to play rugby once they felt like they had a good enough lead ( which was the game plan of the coaching staff not the players inexperience) but meyer still comes out and says that inexperience and because matfield left the field is why we lost

Wallabies represent the antithesis of Springbok rugby

Lol, it sounds kind of tragic but I would be lying if I said I didn’t hold the exact same opinion as you. I’m only 19 and recently discovered roar but I’m absolutely obsessed.

Springbok rugby for life!!!

[Highlights] Wallabies snatch victory with late Kuridrani try

Brilliant xD

Wallabies vs Springboks: Rugby Championship preview

Love him or hate him, that coach can’t deny Goosen is pure class

Wallabies vs Springboks: Rugby Championship preview

I agree pollards game wasn’t good against the world xv, but I believe he’s a player with more talent than lambie and deserves one more chance. If he can’t perform well against the wallabies then heyneke should probably consider dropping him for lambie.

SPIRO: The Wallabies XV that should start against the Boks (but won't)

In my opinion Cheika wont go with the Hooper/Pocock combo plus having skelton at 4 this will be mean disaster in the lineouts. There are also other selections you’ve made that I find a bit puzzling but the kuridrani/AAC centre combo is interesting and could be a great one just maybe don’t test it out against the 2nd best team in the world. Nevertheless its going to be a tight game the bok team I would select to face the wallabies would be:
1)Nyakane
2)Du Plessis
3)Koch
4)Etzebeth
5)Matfield
6)Louw
7)Coetzee
8)Whiteley
9)Reinach(if hes fully fit, otherwise pienaar had a good game against world xv)
10)Pollard
11)Habana
12)De Allende
13)Kriel
14)Le roux
15)Lambie
16)Strauss
17)Beast
18)Malherbe
19)Burger
20)Kolisi
21)Pienaar/Reinach
22)JP
23)Serfontein

SPIRO: The Wallabies XV that should start against the Boks (but won't)

I don’t think a Hooper/Pocock combination will work, to win the big games you need 5 good lineout options or the best teams in the world will beat you in the lineouts, this coupled with an average wallaby scrum I think would spell disaster for them come the play-offs(if they make it that far). I’m sorry for Hooper I believe he’s a great player but it would be foolish not to start Pocock, he’s the best 7 in the world in my opinion.

Cheika's Wallabies should start Hooper and Pocock

I couldn’t agree with you more about the South African players IQs at a professional level but what’s so hard for me to understand is that there is so much talent coming through from the junior levels in South Africa they cant possibly be all brawn and no brains so where are we going wrong? Its like as soon as these players sign for the big franchises all that creativity is lost and they must either adapt to the game plan or be they’ll be dropped. For the past week I’ve been watching a schools tournament down in Port Elizabeth and I was amazed by some of the talent on display and how expansive game plans allowed these players to show off their abilities. One player in particular stood out a young number 10, Curwin Bosch, who I genuinely believe is a star in the making, just raw talent has the speed of any super rugby winger, a step that mimics that of quade and can kick like goosen did back when he was at school. I literally sat in awe as he single handily beat boland and SACs. My day was ruined however when I discovered that he had signed with the bulls, I really wish they wouldn’t dumb all their players down and give them a bit more freedom, I remember the type of player serfontein was before he went there and look at him now he’s completely one dimensional

Things we love, we hate and we'd like to see, but never will

For the world cup my pack would be Kitshoff, Bissie, Malherbe, Etzebeth, Matfield, Louw, Burger or Whiteley to start but at 7 but alberts on the bench because I feel he plays his best rugby for about 30 minutes in a game, and vermeulen at 8.

The backline is a real tough one and there are a lot of question marks for me. 9) is a difficult one I’d probably go with du Preez, Pienaars service is to slow for me I’m not his biggest fan. 10) Pollard vs Lambie! I like pollard more but I would pick lambie. I actually think Goosens got more talent than either of them but hes not ready for that role!11) Habana. Centres would be who evers on form between De Villiers, De Allende and Fourie. 14) Pietersens defence and experience will help him but I really much prefer a wing that looks for more work than he does, hes often dead lazy and not very inspiring on the field.15) would have to be le Roux, Kriel shows promise but hes not ready for a starting role at a world cup, I’d have Goosen as the backup to le Roux

The Springboks World Cup team takes shape with Fourie allowed to play

Its a tough call for heyneke to make fourie is a great player and probably our best in that position but hes been gone along time now and it takes time even for great players to readjust to the speed of the game and create combinations. He shouldn’t find it to hard with jean but De Allendes our form centre and it will be difficult( and a mistake in my opinion) not to start him. So we left with one on form but relatively unproven test centre(De Allende), one who’s just come back from a severe injury and will need to work hard to regain form and match fitness(De Villiers) and one who’s been playing in japan and nobodies really sure if he will adjust quick enough and become world class again(Fourie). Nonu and smith have had the whole season together and these guys(De Villiers and Fourie) have to try and recreate a combination they had years ago in just a few games? its a tough ask, its not a disaster situation though and its certainly good to have him in the mix, its just not really an ideal situation going into a world cup.

I’m willing to bet money that Pierre Spies missed the tackle on Jannie
