Thanks for the kind words. It’s enlightening that the Boks kinda proved this approach to select from everywhere in the last two world cups? Getting more ideas and suggestions into the mix can only help you find a better solution. The best teams, in life and to my understanding, generally comes from diverse background (more ideas on the table) but pulls in the same direction (everyone focussed on solving the same problem, and not wasting time on red herrings)

Sorry mate, but I do mind CVC and am actually quite nervous about them. Before being overtaken by Liberty Media, they absolutely ran Formula 1 into the ground. I believe they were full owner at the time. They’ve made a handy profit (only) for themselves though.

If there’s one thing that I wish the independent board to do it’ll be that there will be a strong coordinated effort across the board to promote the game and create storyline for the people to follow (similar to drive to survive though that’s goes a bit too far).

Force fan here and I actually look forward to the Trans Tasman games as well, just to see how well we actually stacks up against the kiwi teams. And I prefer that the Trans Tasman games to be spread throughout the season in order that the Australian teams get a baseline early and, based on that, they can adjust what they are doing in order to improve (in theory! 😂 )

Great article – Good to hear that the coaching IP is filtering downward to the grassroots more often with more cross pollination of (hopefully) good ideas. Notwithstanding my marvellous idea of using a tunnel boring machine to go under the defensive line to the try line…Anyway, I digress, you gotta make great teachers in order to make great students, so nice to see some progress there. 👍

Good observation! I wonder if it is possible for RA scrap the contract top-up? And use that money to increase the match payment? So there’s no excuse to continually select underperforming players in order to justify their wage and only the most deserving players can play in the gold jumper..
