Any time a Qld based team, or the Qld team based in Melbourne lose it is a great day! Suffer Brisbane, suffer! All glory to Penrith!

Cleary's immortal display inspires Panthers to pull off record comeback win for three-peat and break Broncos hearts

No failure. Cummings did good!

Stuart Broad has just given Pat Cummins a lecture on moral standards. The audacity is gobsmacking

You just perfectly proved the whole point of the article! Thanks go to you for proving, beyond doubt, how pathetic Australian rugby ‘followers’ really are!

Why do certain Wallabies keep getting picked?

Hate the fact I cannot edit posts!

Why only blame the coach and not the cattle?

Funny, spent 30 years as an educator, always got told if my kids did not perform that I hand failed! Players, like then students, come with a certain skills set – if they lacl basic skills ity is my job to provide them – if they lack knowledge it is my job to provide them – if they lack analytical skill it is my job to deveop those skills in them – if they lack the ability to perform under presuusre it is my job to deveop these coping skills in them! A coach is an educator – they are there to develop cohesian, increase the skill level, develop the needed tactics and motivate their charges! If they can’t – then find another career! Time for the inadequate coach to move on! Cannot develop and grow a team – then you have no place coaching a team!

Why only blame the coach and not the cattle?

Melbourne – Prictorians – seriously?, say no more! Easts – Turnbill country, privileged TOSSERS. Come on 2019!

The NRL grand final has no peoples' champion because they both suck

Izzy on the wing – yes, yes, yes?
Can’t kick, can’t pass, can’t defend – ideal position wing; never fullback!

Izzy on the wing - no, no, no!

Sorry, can’t do that. Someone needs to tell the truth about soccer. I played for Kogarah Waraths and Ramsgate Rams for 15 years in total. seeing the game as a enjoyable game to play but boring at the professional level is my right. In 1975 our under 16 Ramsgate Team became the oldest underage team to compete for the club (went til under 18s as well) and we won the grand final. As a reward from the club for our achievements we had the option of going to the Sydney Grand Finals of the Soccer or the League. even the 2 sons of British parents choose the league! Not my problem if you believe the myth of soccer dominance. Countries recently exposed to Rugby sine its inclusion in the next Olympics are loving the game. Give it a go – you may yet qualify as a man playing a game that existed before Soccer!

Socceroos wilt in possession, suffer the pain of Spain's passing game

Current research (not soccer hype) suggests the myth of Web Ellis picking up a ball and running with it is total crap. The rules of Rugby were codified prior to those of soccer. All these games games seem have have developed in parallel. The same is the case with AFL, which did not develop in Australia but was introduced here by a Scotsman. Thus the similarities between AFL and Gaelic Football, except that one developed in Australia using Oval Cricket Grounds and a rugby ball while the other developed in Ireland using a Soccer Ground and a round ball. The trouble with the round ball brigade is they believe their own myths! Do a bit of research don’t just believe the hype. Oh, sorry forgot you love the worlds most boring beautiful game, run by the second most corrupt sporting body (just behind the IOC)!
And just a reminder – Rugby was in the Olympics before soccer and is currently the fastest growing team sport in the World! Not everyone has mothers that are over protective of their poor sons!

Just some facts, not soccer myths.

‘William Webb Ellis, a pupil at Rugby School, is said to have “with a fine disregard for the rules of football, as played in his time [emphasis added], first took the ball in his arms and ran with it, thus creating the distinctive feature of the rugby game.” in 1823. This act is usually said to be the beginning of Rugby football, but there is little evidence that it occurred, and most sports historians believe the story to be apocryphal. The act of ‘taking the ball in his arms’ is often misinterpreted as ‘picking the ball up’ as it is widely believed that Webb Ellis’ ‘crime’ was handling the ball, as in modern soccer, however handling the ball at the time was often permitted and in some cases compulsory,[45] the rule for which Webb Ellis showed disregard was running forward with it as the rules of his time only allowed a player to retreat backwards or kick forwards.’

Check it out yourself – if you are game (unsoccer like!).

But, of course, you won’t. why spoil a good myth!

Socceroos wilt in possession, suffer the pain of Spain's passing game

Australia are crap at soccer. Stop justifying poor performances and claiming we are had a great World Cup. Soccer means nothing to most Australians and our results reflect this. Build up a sub standard game as the ‘Beautiful Game’ and the fall will be mammoth. We only made the Word Cup because we are in a rubbish qualifying group – most Asian Teams are highly paid amateurs!

Soccer is the world game like basketball is a world game. No more than 10 or 12 teams are capable of winning the cup, the rest are just making up numbers. I played soccer as a child, teenager and young adult. Love playing the game, hate watching the professional game. Without doubt the most boring football code to watch at the top level. Crowd behaviour (read misbehaviour) indicates how boring the game is – nothing interesting happening on the field lets have a riot! The need to separate the fans of different teams is also indicative of this problem – what other football code has such poor behaviour amongst the fans? Do something to make the game interesting and this might change. FIFA have shown no interest in making the game more interesting and therefore it will remain as boring as it currently is.

Soccer is the world game simply because the majority of colonial countries were only capable of playing soccer. Other, more physical games were beyond them!

Kiwis somewhat jaded? Or maybe living on reputation?
