Be nice to know the context of the conversation between George and Ricky that immediately lead to the contract release.. You’d imagine if George genuinely requested and needed a mental health day and a rest from the next game that the club would have obliged .. I think there may have been a little more heat in that chat than either G or R are telling us. Additionally , considering the club has no actual legal grounds to release George – then if George was adamant he wanted to stay he literally could . But I think George would prefer not to stay but take his full pay. All the best George ..
