Another opinion piece on what the eagles should do!
The Eagles have never done things the way ” the wise ones from the east” say they should. Good or bad. However in their brief history, the way they have ” done things ” have netted them 4 Flags and 7 Grand Finals. Not bad too bad you would have to say. Especially when we the approach is not condoned by the Wise eastern scribes.
The situation currently for them, however is dire. Yes, recruiting mistakes have been made, so does every AFL team. Recently, they did not plan to lose Brad Sheppard and Daniel Venables to concussion permanently (Both vital future players). Ad losing Willie Rioli when they stood by him through his multiple drug indiscretions, ( no wonder they were upset ). Covid and injury have hampered their current situation as well. These are not excuses they are facts.
So, do the Eagles, according to ” another”, “what the eagles should do” listen and react!
Perhaps, go down the Carlton, Freo, Essendon and St Kilda path and listen to the “Wise ones” and potentially cause years of pain and suffering to its loyal fans by sacking coaches for a fresh start?
Well, that went well for all of them, didn’t it!
I will preface that by saying, none of those, have won anything yet.
I think the Eagles will do what they have always done, successfully , do it their own way!

Agreed! Just as the Eagles loss in 2015’s Grand Final snagged them 2018. Moved on Priddis, Josh Hill and Sharrod Wellingham.

Pretty poor on Fremantle’s behalf. West coast have been holding up W.A Footy for the last 35 years!
Fremantle has not had any kind of achievement, save to say 1 x GF in 30 or so years!
Cmon Freo do better!
Western Australian footy is a mess, but the West Coast Eagles are only half the problem
