Yup, watching now!

AFL officially confirms State of Origin match

Anyhow Paul, i’m over this silly argument. Good luck to the Lions for next year!

Seven big questions for the AFL in 2020

Money generated by Tasmanian taxpayer money goes directly to the AFL, then dispersed amongst all clubs. As you should expect more moneys should go to those two clubs that play there more often. In simple terms a club like the Lions make money out of North and the Hawks playing in Tassie. How goods that, you profit without doing anything.

You just attacked North! I didn’t mention or bag Brisbane prior to that. Congrats for another interstate club attacking North. And i’m not bragging by any stretch, just proud of a club that does not resort to ripping off the community to make a profit.

Seven big questions for the AFL in 2020

What BS! It was 2 million. The Bulldogs, Saints, Essendon and Carlton received an extra 3 mil, Melb 2.5 mil. Every club gets coin from the AFL. As a point of reference, Brisbane recieved $22.3 mil compared to North at $15.9 mil in 2018. Can’t you stand on your own two feet up there?

Seven big questions for the AFL in 2020

I didn’t say they were Paul, simply making a point. I’ve noticed one Victorian club not on your list that hasn’t generated revenue from pokies since 2008. A club that is debt free and profitable. I wonder which club that is?

The Roos beat up the tigers by 37pts, round 11 last year.

Fabric of Melbourne? Extolling virtues? Now that’s funny. How many millions of dollars every year does the RFC rip off from everyday punters at your pokie venues?

To tough a question??

So what team do you support Slane? and Gyfox?

Seven big questions for the AFL in 2020

The Kangas are not going anywhere! Refusing offers: still here! tick. Tassie solution: Still here and contributing to Tassie footy, tick. Languish at the bottom: when has North done that? Go away boy!

Yeah, totally understand. I’ve tried multiple times without them, but i need to walk.

Dayne Beams taking indefinite break from AFL

I feel for ya 6×6! Diagnosed with Sherman’s disease as a kid. Been on the meds ever since.

Jacket and tie snobbery, definitely.

The AFL fixture is biased towards Victorian clubs

People love putting the Kangas down. I don’t get it. Friday night footy, Good Friday, the first club that resented pokies for the betterment of their community, which others are falling over themselves now to implement. 40/50 thousand members per year. Debt free and a team that doesn’t choke. Can’t say that about Carlton, Melbourne, Saints, Bulldogs.

What the AFL must sort out by the end of the next decade

They have. The last time was 2017.

Well done to SOS! He made a very boring event less boring, hats off.

Hopefully Brayshaw gets another crack. Did he play well in the WAFL?

Which players are set to break out next season, and who's under the pump?

Well i have to dart mate. Cheers for the chat and take care until next time. Later.

Tigers, Pies and Cats to hog the limelight as AFL unveils 2020 fixture

The rise of the Aussie dollar was occurring rapidly prior to the GFC. The manufacturing industry was all but over before that even occurred due to the rise of the dollar. Tariff barriers, free trade agreements and the fragmentation of the Aussie car industry, due to the rise of the dollar, was already occurring prior to the GFC.

I didn’t say that!

Tigers, Pies and Cats to hog the limelight as AFL unveils 2020 fixture

Hi Johnno. The mining boom in WA pushed up the Australian dollar which killed the manufacturing industry in Australia, which yes is based in the Eastern States.

Yeah, fair point and a contentious one, but what has that got to do with what i stated?

G’day Mark. I still don’t get your initial point mate. These games in Tassie are North’s home games. Which ever way you look at it other States will still have to travel to play North at home. Whether that’s at Marvel or Hobart makes stuff all difference in flight time. It’s not like you have to fly down to the Antarctic. No pun intended!
Yes i agree that those games against the Tigers, Bombers and the Pies would be great for Tasmania, but that’s more a question to the AFL. I also agree that WA and QLD do get harshly done by when it comes to travel. I’m not sure what the alternative is though.
Being a North member for many years i’d much rather they be played in Melbourne so i can watch them play. But like all members our cries are drowned out, unfortunately.
