Let’s hope Joe Schmidt becomes involved in coaching again back in NZ when he finally returns home after the RWC in Japan.

Ireland rugby in coach shake up

No problems Tim that you might be totally over the haka because if the Wallabies keep staying on the low performance trajectory then rugby union internationals won’t involve Australia and you won’t have to watch the haka anymore.

I'm totally over the Haka

It could be just the fact that the other countries rugby union and cricket teams have better players, coaches and administration personnel who are just better organised and more competitive.
Australian rugby union and cricket is on a downhill slide and until they get their act together other countries will fill the gap.
Bluff and bluster, cheating and sledging doesn’t cut it anymore.

Why is Michael Cheika constantly hammered, while Justin Langer is blameless?

The All Blacks to beat Ireland by 18+ points and to beat England by 20+ points.
The Springboks to beat England today by 15+ points.

Ireland vs All Blacks to decide the best rugby team on the planet

100% correct – Latu slapped Taylor across the face as the scrum broke up. Kearns would know this and should stop whingeing.

Phil Kearns believes All Blacks get a 'free ride' from refs

Well articulated Geoff – hopefully RA and Raelene Castle pick up on the comments and with assistance of all stakeholders put together a plan for rugby in Australia from schoolboy rugby through to the senior level.

The Wrap: A way forward for Australian rugby – how hard can it be?

No alternative game plan – pretty much says it all and hopefully Michael Cheika gets the message in time for the second test on Saturday.

The Wallabies had Plan A. The All Blacks had Plan A and B

Moa, the RWC is 12+ months away and Eden Park is only a venue just like Twickenham, Ellis Park or other famous grounds.
The Wallabies test match win/loss track record under Michael Cheika hasn’t improved over the last (4) years so time to move on.

Seven talking points from Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe 1

I don’t believe the Australian players are sub-par but I do believe the best players from across Australia are not being picked (even if they lack test match experience) and I do believe the players aren’t fit enough to complete a test match for 80+ minutes.
It is time to take a fresh approach and blood new players and give them test match experience.
The one advantage Australia has over every other rugby outfit in the NH is that they get to play against the All Blacks and Springboks on a regular basis. These two team can be used as benchmarks.
The Wallaby coach should be using this opportunity to his and Australia’s advantage and blooding new players.

Seven talking points from Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe 1

The bigger picture is that the Wallabies haven’t improved under the coaching direction of Michael Cheika and it is time for someone else to take over. The test match win/loss ratio is average at best.
The test at Eden Park next week should be the line in the sand for Michael Cheika and RA.
The RWC is 12+ months away and a new coach with a fresh perspective is needed. If the Wallabies do not beat the All Blacks at Eden Park next week then RA and Raelene Castle need to step up and send Michael Cheika on his way.

Seven talking points from Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe 1

Well now we have heard it all …….”Rugby to the All Backs is a religion, but it’s only a social event for the Wallabies”.
Pretty sure that Alan Jones, Michael Cheika, Mick Byrne and all the Wallabies past and present don’t think so.
The main reason why rugby union in Australia is failing across all measures is attributed to the idiots at RA (previously ARU) who have totally mismanaged the sport at every level from schoolboys to Wallabies.

The difference between the All Blacks and the Wallabies

Agree – fixing the problems at the Reds is a long term fix and includes culture. Brad Thorn is on the right path.

Brad Thorn's selection policy has him on the right track for a Reds resurrection

Agree – this is a long term fix that Brad Thorn is undertaking. Needs time and patience.

The NZRU must be having a good laugh this morning having read your whinging articles on Pete Samu yesterday and today. Pete Samu is a professional rugby player with a signed contract that sets out his obligations and RA would have been aware of this.
This issue should have been addressed directly by RA to the NZRU and not released via the media. RA looks like a bunch of dills and if the positions were reversed RA would be doing the same thing. Get over it!!!

Peter Samu's future is cloudy thanks to trans-Tasman bitching

A rugby poet in the making – well done. Nearly as good as Rupert McCall and ….Why We Play the Game.

On rugby union's best-known identities

Final – Crusaders vs Jaguares
Winner – Crusaders

Is 2018 the new 2014 for the Waratahs?

What a lot of rubbish when you say “….The tweets sent by Folau have been inflammatory and could be construed by some as inciting hatred towards the gay community. He has been accused of as much. So why Castle and Rugby AU haven’t come out yet and censured or sanctioned Folau is a mystery. It is showing a clear lack of leadership…”.
The rainbow warriors need to calm down and stop trying to stifle others opinions and beliefs.
The rugby community is made up of players, supporters, coaches and administrators and these people come from various backgrounds and beliefs. You can reasonably assume they don’t all support SSM. Get over it.

Why is Folau untouchable?

When Folau and Naiyaravoro received a lot of the ball the Waratahs looked dangerous in attack and they soon racked up 29 points. For whatever reason these two didn’t receive much quality ball over the next 40-50 minutes and suddenly the Crusaders had the lead.

Waratahs suffer Super Rugby heartbreak

Agreed – big lead after 30 minutes squandered by the Waratahs. The citing commissioner will sort out Joe Moody if warranted.

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

The Waratahs can spend the week lamenting on poor plays and lost opportunities but the Blues can take a lot of confidence from that performance beating the best Australian SR franchise at home in front of a partisan crowd. Good game and well done.

Promising signs, but Aussie rugby's drought continues

Well said Jacko – sums up the article nicely.

How Schmidt beat the All Blacks: What makes a champion coach?

Blues to win by 12+ points – upset of the round!!!

Super Rugby Round 12: who’s the second ‘A’ in SANZAAR, again?

The Blues to win at Brookvale by 12+ points.

BERNARD FOLEY: It only takes one win for the Tahs to break Australia's Super Rugby drought

At the end of the day Peter, all of the problems you have outlined above will not be fixed unless addressed by Rugby Australia and if they do address the issues then sorting out the mess is a long term fix and funding is tight but the first step is the hardest to take.

Why aspiring Wallabies should go to school in New Zealand

Agreed – NZ could assist Australia but if it is to be successful then Rugby Australia should take the lead and approach the NZRU.
The sheer incompetence of the administrators running Rugby Australia is the problem.
