Sensational idea! This is a must!

50 years left to live: Rugby league's inconvenient truth

Do you have any proof they are obviously inflating crowd numbers?

GWS crowd numbers are the very definition of fake news.

Clipper likes rugby league more than anybody judging by the amount of comments on RL articles.

The game will be fine, there are certainly some issues that need attending but all sports are struggling for juniors and maintaining crowds.

Maybe the 42 countries who play the game is a start then? It didn’t originate from nsw and qld either, just FYI.

The 'pretend' sport watched by millions

It is a fair chance of making the commonwealth games though. It would also give the sport access to increased government funding and increased sponsorship!

The 'pretend' sport watched by millions

Union running touch rugby league in some countries should be a crime itself!

i dont think the whole ‘war’ approach is going to win the hearts and minds of people, more the opposite.

Brace yourself for more war games between AFL and NRL

i cant see how melbourne could ever be rated above world famous sporting cities such as london or new york.

Why Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia

our game, the nrl game last friday rated 1.668 million, the afl rated 1.571 million. the afl crowd was great! get your facts right!

NRL needs a better Grand Final than the AFL

the nrl are ahead in a few areas. tv ratings, merchandise revenue, gambling revenue and facebook fans. the afl are ahead in crowds, memberships, tv revenue and overall revenue produced.

NRL needs a better Grand Final than the AFL

it means they didnt make the minimum number of regional viewers watching to make the cutoff (top 40) so he gave the afl the cutoff number, which could be quite a lot higher than what the sport actually rated.

NRL needs a better Grand Final than the AFL

for some reason they cant. it really seems to bother afl supporters that the nrl rates better. i mean, the facts simply dont lie. nrl fans have no problem admitting the afl’s crowds are the envy of the nation and we are also envious of the tv deal the afl just signed. why does it bother you so much that you come a close second in tv ratings?

NRL needs a better Grand Final than the AFL

why would you imagine ththe afl always outrates the nrl A1? there is not all that much difference between the codes ratings but the nrl wins on fta most weeks. i think the gf ratings winners would change each year depending on who makes each codes gf’s.

NRL needs a better Grand Final than the AFL

Nobody has claimed that league is anywhere near as big as union, it’s just that union supporters seem to deny the fact that rugby league is also growing in quite a number of countries and has never been as big internationally than it is presently!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Troll alert!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

More excuses!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

The cowboys aren’t in the top 5 crowds for the NRL you muppet! Why would you take qld teams out if the average anyway.

Stade francais sell out 3 or 4 games a year, which is great! The rest of the year they can’t fill their 12k seat stadium!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Yet participation levels for rugby league are bigger than they have ever been in the sports history!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Do you use only southern england when talking about rugby union participants? Troll!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

You seem to be getting very worked up about the warriors success kovana!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Actually yes it can be said that Mario, thanks for asking. Some quick Internet research will show you that there are world cup qualifiers next month between Jamaica, south Africa, USA, Italy, Lebanon, Serbia and russia. There has been quite a lot of growth in other non heartland areas recently as well. Thanks for asking though!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Kovana, 4 billion is a made up number, the rugby league tv figures are actual real people watching the tv. A slight difference!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

Afl will never be popular in nz, what a load of crap!

Why Warriors' success is good for rugby

crowds and memberships in sydney are better than at any stage in rugby leagues history. we should be develolping all around the pacific, not just australia and nz!
