Ned .. Rugby’s most irresistible bloke.
A man so unassuming, so modest, so sweet and warm that you take one look at him, and you like him.
It always takes Ned a little bit longer to go someplace than the average person…people stop him to shake his hand, embrace him, kiss him.
I know I’ll miss him ????

This was a great St G win and to all the long suffering fans .. do you see the light ?
No wooden spoon for this team.

'Complete performance' sees Dragons stun Warriors - and Lomax rocket into Origin contention

I played for Oatley rugby. I remember the oval being underwater but the game still went on. Stuck in a collapsed scrum with my head buried in a pool of water I thought I was to be the first player ever to drown on a rugby field. Good memories

The Kyrgios case of Latrell and Lomax: Star duo need to put what's best for the team ahead of individual interests

Funny fellow Lomax really can’t work him out.

Suli is a big unit but lacks subtlety. I’m missing a rampaging Rava and he appears to be a touch lost in the last few games. Hopefully Lomax has a point to prove and will unleash him this Friday. Looking forward to another St G win.

NRL Round 7 Team Lists Late Mail: Des forced into spine reshuffle, Panthers and Dragons announce debutants

The game was brutal back in the 70s. Our captain went on to have a long career with St G league. No one ever found out who the phantom biter was but I knew. Some of the violence and brawls still makes me cringe thinking back. My grandson has just started playing and I’m glad the game has been cleaned up.

Finding the right kind of violence: Why rugby has never been harder to play

Cody Ramsay would be the best wing replacement for Lomax. I hope you are doing well Mr Ramsay and you are overcoming this insidious illness that has come upon you. I also hope to see you back in the red V ..

Dragons have dodged a bullet by letting Lomax go early – but only if they box clever to replace him

There is a touch of the cauliflower ear in your Scanlens card photo. Must be a distant relative

I still believe you are an ex forward Tony

The question is Lomax an elite talent?
He is a tough and good in the air but elite is questionable.
Watch out for Sloan this year and next .. fix his defence and he has the makings of an elite talent.

Dragons finally letting Lomax leave - and his exit might start a feeding frenzy across the NRL

There were a number of players asking for a release last year and under Griffin I can’t blame them.
Ben Hunt as everyone knows wanted out. He seems to be happier with the way saints are travelling. Tyrell Sloan wanted out along with Jayden Sullivan. Sloan now has 6 tries to his name. Griffin dropped Lomax last year .. dented his ego. I prefer Jack Bird playing centre than Lomax. Let him go at the end of the year. No problems. What is it wilh league contracts that the players and managers think they can tear them up at a drop of a hat. Good on Flannigan for holding firm.

NRL News: Walker confused by 'weirdest obstruction' calls, Lomax to Eels delay frustrates Arthur, Dragons eye off Turuva

Nope.. no more to the story Tim. Just all about me Lomax.

Early days yet but this could be a turning point for the saints. Sloan equal top try scorer with 6 is good to see.

Flanno's Dragons tough it out as Manly shoot themselves in the foot, then aim again in error-strewn madness

Worst case future scenario is that the Lions start putting on large scores against an average wallaby side. We need to keep good players.

Wonder kid offered 3-yr, $1.6m deal to stay in Aussie rugby - and why it could see Wallabies stars leave Ballymore

I think Carter Gordon would be great at inside centre. He is certainly tough enough. As a kid I watched Jean Pierre Rives play for France and marvelled how tough the guy was. Carter Gordon reminds me of Rives a bit minus the blood on his face and jersey.

Five things we learned: Schmidt's selection headache, Carter's a No.12 wildcard, and $1m Thor must step up

The liquidators will take whatever is left over if anything. Can’t be a good space for the players at the moment.

Exclusive: Rebels threaten Civil War as peace talks with RA end in another blow for Super Rugby

Suli can’t pass the ball. No point in having a winger outside of him. Have to agree a move to the wing may be a good option.
I remember last year a flick pass from Lomax ended up in the crowd. He gave Ravalawa a filthy look as though he should have taken it. Zac is tough hard player but is dazzled by the lights. As the mayor said in the movie Jaws. ‘want’s to get his name in the National Geographic’.

Zac has max potential but Dragons should show him the door if he wants to take his lucrative contract elsewhere

My old man was a truckie.. He left school at 13. I can’t remember him swearing once throughout his life. He also worked in shearing sheds as young man .. but never used the f word once. Doesn’t always come down to education.

'I don't care if I'm swearing': Latrell set to escape NRL sanctions despite foul-mouthed radio interview

I have a memory of a British fighter pilot being interviewed after an emergency landing. His voice and language .. just the way he sounded was like sweet symphony music. No good subjecting kids and families to the eff word irrespective of how often it is used these days. The players can do much better.

Perhaps Lomax should reflect on Junior Amones wage estimate for this year in comparison to his ( yes self inflicted )

Jeopardy question for today;
What Is the Dunning-Kruger Effect?
A cognitive bias that causes an overestimation of capability.

Check your medication .. it’s affecting your memory. Your Scanlons card has you down as a front rower. Wikipedia as second row.

Once the administrators get involved it’s goodbye Rebels. Sad state of affairs of our once great game. Waugh should stop talking ..his words will mean nothing whatever good intentions he may have .. orchestras in the wind. Administrators are brutal but they are just doing their job and the cupboard is bare. My grandson is thinking of playing union but will advise him against it.
