AFLPA does not agree with AFL. Also, it remains to be seen what Geelong does.

AFL boss slams Henderson's Carlton exit

I find this post amazing. For two years, wall to wall calls for Hird’s and the board’s heads and then, when it happens, suddenly regret for it happening. Hird and Little were two bad smells but not the only ones. All who were involved in the drugs thing need clearing out at that place, the football world sees it as plain as day. Includes Bomber too.

Gutless Essendon board fail to back Hird

BS – Geelong sourced from a company connected with Dank a legal medicine. The illegal started at Essendon.

How much longer can James Hird hang on?

As a Geelong supporter, I say keep Hird and Little, plus the entire list as it is.

Rugby League is NSW and Qld and that’s it. AFL, for all its faults, is the national code. The game I played was Union. Rugby League? In their dreams. Mind you, South Sydney Leagues Club used to be good for an evening out.

Will league supplant AFL at the top in 2020?

It will be interesting to see what the rabid Collingwood cheer squad do with Goodes this weekend coming. These are the people who put on their banner: Fitzroy, not so much co-tenants but unwelcome guests. Should be fun.

[Highlights] 200 up for Selwood in Geelong win

Dropping yourself and being dropped are two different things.

Yep, it’s up to him. Hope Essendon win tomorrow. And the Dees. Would also be good if North didn’t.

Essendon and Jobe Watson should break up

Ah, sorry, Mick, too many things happening this end.

Grin? How else does a person react to a comment which is so wrong? As for the issue, time will tell. A few of us here have put the unofficial side at one of the few forums allowing it. Many fans are not happy. A few commenters here are. So be it. See what happens today and in the next few weeks.

No, he clearly didn’t. All the captains were forced to do this, just as the banner is something the two club admins did. The AFL says Selwood “happy”. No he wasn’t. He was quite disappointed and that’s why he said: “It is what it is, I understand why we have to do it,” Selwood said on Friday. “I’m probably more upset for the Geelong cheer squad, they get (really chuffed) about putting a banner together and we’re really thankful that those guys do that for us.”

They HAVE TO do it. They’re forced. As club captain, he must comply. He doesn’t have to like it. Fans certainly don’t. There’s going to be trouble, maybe not Sat eve but there will be trouble – the football powers are ignoring the fans once again.

Oh come on, what bollox. Selwood clearly said he felt sorry for the fans. This is a beat up to suggest he wanted this.

Feels our love? Denies Selwood his 200th? That is doing the dirty on football fans, hiding behind The Man who uses the law to stop any dissent, any airing of the grievances and then comes out and says let’s all be friends now.

All be friends when Swans are going to throw eggs, causing the first all in brawl at a ground for years and any booer is going to be ejected from the ground and charged? Feel our love?

“I feel very loved.” Yes, that’s what this is all about, all about how one man, Goodes, feels. Tell that to Joel Selwood and Cats fans. I am not a booing type of person, I don’t like booing. Were I at that game though, I’d most certainly be booing any time he came near the ball or anyone from the AFL.

This stinks. Then there is Collingwood the week after.

They cancelled Selwood’s 200 banner for that rubbish? I’m without words.

Exactly, WhereIsGene.

There are some good comments here, e.g. Penster and WhereIsGene. As the issue was always the racism of Goodes himself in this and nothing else, it’s really up to him. The first egg will bring crowd brawling to Simmonds Stadium, just what Scott, Carter and the AFL seem to want. They refuse to see it, don’t they? Just how wrong can they get? And as for this two through one banner – why? What’s the celebration? Sel’s 200th? When will they drop this race card and get back to football?
