A question for the rule nerds. Does anyone know what the penalties are for a bench player illegally entering the field and interfering with a player currently playing? My fairness gauge would put Crighton’s action on the same level. I am totally on board with the severity of the trainer fine and should have been a suspension for the trainer as well.

I think ‘hate’ is a few notches too strong of a word for what a decent amount of people think about a few players in the team. There’s just a slowly developing sour taste as little incidents pile up over time. There’s a handful players who I don’t particularly like their on field antics or style but that goes for most teams. The thing that’s changed is they are getting more and more publicity with their success so we see and scrutinize it more.
You can’t hate the Panthers just because they’re good
All I hear from NRL highups is ‘if the numbers stack up’. I want less teams with a fair home and away draw rather than the absolute bias some teams have to endure year on year for ‘numbers’. Sometimes less is more.
