It wasn’t stolen CS in the second half Fiji’s lineout fell apart.

[Highlights] Maori All Blacks steal late win against Fiji

Considering nearly as many New Zealand born players, played for Pacific Island teams in the last WC.
As have ever played for the All Blacks I don’t see how I can count your opinion as right.
And as second tier teams I see no problem with that happening. But being a Pacific Islander/Maori and growing up in NZ I don’t know how people like yourself fail too see what NZ does for the pacific teams. And even though I live in Australia I don’t know enough about what they do offer to Pacific teams to comment on their behalf.

The incredible spread of Pacific Island talent

So he broke a law 6.whatever but he didnt break the sanzar code of conduct. I have enough of this topic so I accept it as mistake.

We can agree to disagree.
Sore losers has nothing to do with anything, my team lost I wear it they made to many mistakes to win once they got the lead.
But if the shoe was on the other foot and JK has a chat to the ref innocent or not, and the referees decisions change coincidental or not. As a supporter of the team being played against I would have full understanding how you could be aggrieved that a ref COULD be manipulated wrong or right, and their change of stance on the game could possibly be accounted with the little innocent conversation. The main point is the conversation should never have taken place. And all the evidence in the world does not take away my right as a Blues fan to think this conversation innocent as it may have been played some outcome in that game.
I understand your stance and fare enough Sanzar backs up what your saying.
But as a Blues fan I find this a hard pill to swallow regardless of evidence, which doesn’t seem to add up imho.
And I recon you would too if this happened to the Waratahs. (purely speculative of course)

No advantage was gained is very objective Peter. Ask the Blues if they think the Warratahs got an advantage from this.
And I bet their beliefs would be very different to yours.

Digger like Geoff Toovey once said ” There needs to be an investigation” on the investigation.
Sorry I couldn’t help myself.
I just don’t understand how you can be innocent, but get a warning.
And if they were innocent of breaching any codes, why SANZAR would feel the need to tell everyone else this is not acceptable,
Unless it was a breach of codes.
But to state it was a breach of codes would mean an international coach would be essentially be banned from a world cup.
I personally think it would be very harsh to do that.
But in saying that a bench mark has been set here, coaches now know they can talk to a referee during a game about the game and get a smack on the hand essentially. Or will the next coach to do it be made an example of?
unless he has a 6 month suspended sentence hanging over him.
Or if Cheika didn’t have a suspended sentence over him would the findings have been different would probably be the better question?

Well that is obviously the right way to do things James. We weren’t discussing the captain talking to a ref during a match though.

If it was a breach of SANZAR rules James he has a case to answer, but it would seem he doesn’t and SANZAR see it as acceptable for a coach to approach a ref during a game. But then issue a message to all coaches and refs and clubs saying its not acceptable. So things just don’t add up here IMO.

Hahahahaha math’s was never my strong suit but thats just stupid .
at least I can laugh at my mistakes.

Yeah I saw that after I wrote that.

Fair enough but he has been coaching sometime and I would be interested to know how many times he has consulted refs during a match to believe it is acceptable? I’ll give him benefit of the doubt as your response is logical. But there comes time were ignorance is not bliss. And I thought the moment a coach enters a refs changing room no matter the conversation they would know there was a breach for obvious reasons. I could be wrong and that last bit might be illogical, but I don’t think it is.

Half-time referee rendezvous has Michael Cheika in hot water

I don’t Mike.
But it seems there was a breach of some sort.
How major that breach is I have no idea.
But I was interested in why a coach with a suspended sentence over him, would put himself in that position.
And because Chieka has that matter over him I find it hard to believe this is not more scrutinised,
considering they found it important enough to let all clubs, refs and coaches know this is not acceptable.

oh I see were you got your info from.

Half-time referee rendezvous has Michael Cheika in hot water

in the NZ Herald it said it wasn’t the Blues as JK didn’t want it to seem as an excuse for losing.

How do you know exactly what was discussed Peterk?
How do you know how they spoke to each other?
Were you there?
Or has this been reported somewhere else?
And being an ex ref, and being a stifler for the rules as conversations in other articles.
how do you find this breach acceptable?
