I think you are missing the point. I don’t think he wants to spend his way out of this, he wants to be able to develop and sell players.
If there was a football economy, especially around youth, nurturing clubs like CC Mariners could build wealth by developing and showcasing talent and selling talent for transfer fees. Without that economy, there is seemingly no way out.

James – from memory when Foxtel first launched cable TV (with the box) we were all paying about $75 – $100 per month for a bunch of channels that were never watched apart from the sport. I see these multiple subscriptions as moving back towards the same spend, just across several platforms and now paying for stuff we actually watch. $850 per year for those 4 platforms you mention seems ok…. Also, I’ve got no issue at all paying for Paramount given that its helping to fund the game.
