All these stories about why the A League is suffering.
It’s suffering because WSW are poor.
It’s that simple.
There’s no way a team from football heartland should be losing to a team like that.
But they did.

How can the APL convince casual fans the A-League Men is worth supporting?

Rudan didn’t come over to us in the away bay though, that was kind of expected. At least Marcelo gave us a proper Captain’s speech, it was inspiring.

Wanderers rebound after week from hell, Nix outlast Sky Blues' press, Nisbet called up

The club has 4 owners but you would have only ever seen 1 of them on the field berating a referee.
He’s from Point Piper, what he sees when he looks at WSW and what I see are 2 different things.
Many of us believe he only ever bought the club to take advantage of the talent pool, selling players to Europe – increasing the value of his investment.
Success, memberships, crowd averages etc are all irrelevant. It’s about the Academy and nothing more.

Seventh heaven for City as Rudan no-shows presser after horror defeat

The region of Western Sydney deserves better, why it’s such a basket case is beyond me now.
The only thing I can count on now is other teams having good moments, gave CCM and Adelaide their first grand final wins, gave SFC more derby wins than they deserve, gave Antonis a killer memory, have been on the receiving end of ‘goal of the season’ more than once, gave Macarthur their first ever win, first A League club to lose to a State League team and gave NPL clubs some of their greatest memories in the FFA/Australia Cup.
The ACL win was incredible but a club representing football heartland should have the following by now;
3 Grand Final wins & plates
At least one Australia Cup win
30k members
15-20k average attendance

The fish rots from the head and it’s high time we looked at the head of WSW and admitted he’s been the problem all along.

That’s George, RBTV regular.

Fulfilling the daily quota of WSW comments?

'Offensive, obscene, abusive': Rudan banned over A-League rants

I support him 100%. I love that he’s speaking out and has the rest of the league against us.
Siege mentality is brilliant if it can last longer than this season as WSW won’t make the finals in 2024.
There’s absolutely no way Macarfur should have won.

'Offensive, obscene, abusive': Rudan banned over A-League rants

When the Bulls were introduced I said they were nothing more than WSW 2.0 The G rated version.
Others said no no no they’re South-West Sydney it’s a different area and they deserve their own team!
Now I hear the broadcasters calling it a battle of the west, and in this very thread you’re calling it a ‘Western Sydney clash’.
Why is it a clash over an area when the Bulls supposedly represent a different area?
Which is it, pick one.

Rudan lashes officials as Bulls pip WSW, Gauci's dream move, City struggling

Plenty of your ‘legends’ though come from the West. I doubt many have come from Dover Heights.
Rudan, McFlynn, Carle, Brosque etc – all Westies.
It all evens out, neither scenario is acceptable.

Sydney FC coach sweet on Lolley as English winger signs contract extension

Until these kids see no other club than WSW it won’t be effective.
It’s really annoying that Mariners continue to head down to Western Sydney to find their next ‘local’ talent, but even more annoying that kids sign for them.
Also annoying that SFC have some weird agreement with Bonnyrigg High School.
One day kids will grow up wanting to play in red&black and an offer from any other club will be offensive.
That’s when the next Harry Kewell will be found.

The kids are alright: Wanderers' big win over City represents a shift in A-League dynamics

If anyone ever cared about why WSW have failed to get back to those 2012 days, offering Lolley a contract is one good reason.
It’s embarrassing for the fans.

Somewhere near WSW but not WSW. As in the East side of the city.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 13

‘we’. Everyone knows the underhanded behaviour from CCM in getting that kid to the club.

There are still signs of life in the A-League Men despite the 'bureaucratic nonsense' of the APL

As I was saying, the reason WSW fans aren’t turning up is because of performances like that.
It’s at the point now where you can see how the season will go based on the pre-season signings.
Until the club can sign a team that people say ‘wow’ then nothing will change.

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

He asked for 600k per season and the club said no thanks.
Worth every cent imo

Still angry that WSW forever ruined any chance of AFL becoming part of Western Sydney?
It’s 2024 isn’t it time to wrap the failed expansion project up?

The majority of fans that I know. Hopefully people read my comments properly before replying next time.

Typo…

Not Cummings.

Layouni being let go was one of the worst decisions i’ve ever seen. Second only to signing Piovaccari.

Tulio and Cummings ring a bell?

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

There really wasn’t. Most of us were lifelong football fans but never really got into the A League due to the whole ‘Bling FC’ thing that has thankfully mostly disappeared. Also, SFC numbers grew when WSW were introduced.
It definitely answers the question as to why SFC were super supportive of another team being introduced into the Western Sydney region. WSW having more members has never sat well with them.

I’m not sure why you keep trying to justify every comment with being a foundation member?
So am I, it doesn’t count for anything.

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

Strange article, I don’t know any other WSW fan who’d agree with this.
Most are of the belief the season is done for due to not filling all visa spots.

Tulio is playing, it’s his last game.
