I would rate Sidebottom as an elite wingman, who has been for a long time. He may be slowing down with age so some forward time may help. The issue is who is going to replace him on the wing? If Collingwood do have the constant injury concerns like last year, particularly in the midfield it is going to make consistency very difficult again in 2020.

What is the worst injury to the biggest name in NRL SOO? I can’t really recall. I would be interested to see if someone like Tedesco or Ponga did an ACL what impact that would have on clubs attitudes towards SOO? That’s what ended up killing AFL SOO, the players weren’t interested and the clubs didn’t want to lose a star for the rest of the season and possibly lose a shot at a premiership.
