Golf , round ball , bunkers , undulating fairways and greens with all kinds of slopes . Wimbledon tennis , plays on a very waring grass surface with some imperfect bounce , test cricket pitches become more unpredictable and have wear and tear each day of the test. .
While I would like a perfect surface for football, sometimes just have to play the cards you are dealt .

We all have to go to work and deal with imperfections . If it’s not unsafe then just deal with it. Highly skilled players in every outdoor sport have variable playing conditions.
I’m sure the grounds staff do everything they can to get the pitch up to scratch.

Amazing that all the other moments of time wasting during the game were not penalised. Just an appalling decision, when stopping the clock is within the refs choices .
