Opening up selection to overseas based players works for SA because their domestic teams no longer play NZ. If they did now they would get hammered. Australia should go it alone. Super Rugby AU was great and picking overseas players for the Wallabies wouldn’t matter.

'There's so many guys OS who could play for Australia': Kellaway says 'scrap Giteau Law'

I’m fine with selecting overseas based players for the Wallabies but Rugby Australia needs to accept that Super Rugby TT is dead. The top players can earn the big bucks overseas and Australia can have a domestic competition to grow the game again.

WILL GENIA: 'Samu must start, Tate can wear No.9 jersey for 10 years and time to ditch Giteau Law'

Playing in Super Rugby hasn’t improved Australian Rugby in 25 years. I don’t see why it would suddenly do so now. If playing the best made you the best why is Italy still rubbish. You improve rugby by growing the grassroots and having player development pathways. Super Rugby AU got people interested in Rugby again. First time I’ve talked to people at work about Rugby since the 2015 RWC final.

Super Rugby AU thrashes the Trans-Tasman competition in rugby's ratings war

I heard about this article on Twitter. Knew I had to read it and it didn’t disappoint. It’s as sad and desperate as the emails I keep getting from Kayo.

You do have a good point. I was a prop so I’m a bit biased.

Three easy changes to improve rugby right now

I agree with a lot of the comments regarding to many substitutes and not wanting a captain call TMO referral.
I think scrums should be off the clock. As soon as a scrum is called it’s time off and the clock doesn’t start again until the ball is out of the scrum. I also believe that an offside referee or maybe the use of technology to police the offside rule would improve the game. I’m not sure on England being the best team in the world although they do have the best coach. I’ve been impressed with France. Pity the final will be played with the French B team.

Silly posts? You’re responding to them genius. The achievements were in relation to not needing affirmation from the likes of you and are none of your business. You clearly have the intelligence of a hamster reinforcing the opinion of my initial post.

Is league's popularity harming rugby development?

You are truly dumb. What business is it of yours what I do or what qualifications I have. I don’t need your approval. Digging a hole? What are you talking about. You should get help for for your insecurities maybe you might make something of your life. You would be entertaining if you weren’t so pathetic.

I’m fine with that. This is how you tell if a person is succeeding in life. If someone implies that you are stupid or that the sport you follow is stupid a successful person would laugh it off and get on with life. I don’t know you and would need to see your curriculum vitae to put any weight on your opinion. As for inspiration find that yourself.

Embarrassed? I don’t get my self esteem from social media. I have actual achievements. I have a feeling that you don’t. I’m also quite busy so I’m not going to proofread.

Executive assistant really. Not including the annual bonus. Don’t know what an entry level receptionist would earn but you get the point.

You got me. Congratulations

Is league's popularity harming rugby development?

Yes I have been hearing the same from a lot of English supporters. Eddie Jones likes to win and it seems to be working for him. France is still exciting to watch. The problem Rugby Union has had in Australia is that it has been poorly managed. Instead of growing the grassroots they were lining their own pockets. Hopefully RA has turned a corner. Most ex union supporters I know have been lost to AFL so I’m not sure to much kicking is the problem.

A layman is a person without knowledge of a particular subject. Anybody new to a sport for instance. I’m glad you find League interesting it’s just not for everyone.

Adventure Racing! How much money did the Adventure Racing World Cup generate. People like you is what is wrong with humanity. Thinking is not a crime you should try it.

Yes. Yell factually incorrect and fake news then go onto my opinion is right.com and have like minded individuals reinforce your believes and everything will be okay. Reality kept at bay for one more day.

You obviously didn’t watch the Wallabies game. My receptionist earns 90k AUD a year. The top 10 union players in Europe earn between 500000 pounds 1.1 million pounds a season. I think your paying your receptionist to much. You might want to fire your head of HR.

Rugby Union is the national sport of Madagascar. It never gets mentioned as no one outside of Madagascar cares pillock

The complicated part isn’t the penalty kick it’s whether you take it. Wouldn’t explain the risk reward assessment or alternative options. League is the sport for you and probably also NASCAR.

Is league's popularity harming rugby development?

Union is the fastest growing team sport in the world. League is only played in Northern England, South Auckland, Eastern Australia and Tonga. League would probably be popular in the USA if it was introduced to Trump supports, Flat Earthers or Climate change deniers. Plenty of people in that market with cognitive impairment that would find League interesting.

League strength is its simplicity. It can be easily explained to a layman. This is also its weakness. It’s derivative and quickly becomes dull and repetitive. Some people like this. You will never watch a league game and leave confused . Rugby Union is complicated. It’s hard to explain the rules to a layman and difficult to ref consistently. This complexity also makes union tactically superior to league. The number of variables that can effect the outcome of a game are immense. A rugby team needs to have great set pieces, a intelligent kicking game, physically imposing, great on the counter and have a solid defence. It also needs to be able to adjust to the weather conditions and exploit the opposition’s weaknesses. League is five tackles followed by a kick repeating for 80 minutes. I apologise to the leagues for all the words containing more than four letters.

Foster has a slightly better group of players to choose from. The Wallabies need to play smarter and that takes time. Rennie will get them there.

Wallabies record second draw of the year as Argentina clash ends all square

What makes you think Eddie won’t be coach?

France would have to be favourites based on current form and home advantage. Can’t rule out England, SA, NZ, Argentina and Australia. I haven’t been impressed with Ireland this year. Scotland have improved and will hopefully make it out of the pool stage.

Which rugby nation will be the best in the world by 2023?

The Rugby Championship should be expanded to five teams with a promotion relegation match with the next highest ranked team outside of Europe. Ideally there would be a second tier competition but this may not be financially viable. This would give the likes of Tonga, Samoa, Uruguay and the USA the chance of competing in the highest level annual International Rugby Competition outside of Europe. I know it would never happen but it is nice to dream.

Impey to stand down as SANZAAR chairman

Both Japan and Argentina have good rugby teams. Rugby is growing around the world and international teams are getting better. Each World Cup there are going to be more teams that can realistically win it. This is great for rugby. Japan beat SA and if they join the Rugby Championship they will one day beat the AB if the game keeps growing. This is all good for Rugby.
