Rory’s gunna hate Smith even more now, he’s gunna say,”I hate Smith, why didn’t he go to LIV before the British Open”.

Smith gets 145 million reasons to LIV it up: ‘An offer I couldn’t ignore’ as World No.2 joins rebel tour

By reducing the grading for crusher tackles and shoulder charges I’m sure James Ackerman will be looking down from above and saying “ I died from a shoulder charge and now reducing the grading is a stupid and dangerous thing to do”.

Another fine mess: Lunatic players running the asylum under NRL’s new judiciary system

Hahaha, let’s play touch footy.

World Rugby flags full training contact limit of 15 minutes a week to make game safer

A quick look at the injured player once the touchie told him to stop play he would have seen no trainer at the injured player, and should have said play on but I don’t think the ref would have thought of that.

V’landys, Abdo, Annesley, McGuirk and the trainers: Failure and zero accountability

So Tim, why did they get the most incompetent referee to referee this game, time after time, year after year this Ref has made mistake after mistake, yet here he is refereeing this game, after the first round between these two teams we knew there would be lots of flash points and he wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Why the focus on Latrell misses the real issue in a failing system

Thought Fitler stuffed his last game selections up again, the halves did not provide the attack needed, Mitchell needed more ball and space and Wighton didn’t provide that and Tedesco had his worst game, at times he ran around like a headless chook.

Origin is hard, a sweep is harder: seven talking points for State of Origin 2021

I see that the reporter in the courier mail said that the Broncos initially offered him $300,000 but I have it on good authority that the offer was only $200,000, he’s on more than those 2 figures at the Panthers, now Ikin has turned up they might go higher than what he’s on at the panthers but we will see if Ikin can sweet talk him over the insult of their first offer.

Reports: Capewell joining Broncos in 2022

While we are on the subject, let’s discuss Mal Meninga, he has 3 jobs, Fox, the Titans and Coach of the Australian Kangaroos (not sure if he’s being paid the full quid for this job) so let’s not pick on the Old White man, let’s just pick on the Old man like me.

Fox League's decision to hire Ray Hadley is baffling

My son plays in the Qld Intrustsuper Cup, he was to make his debut for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in Round 2 but the compass suspended then cancelled, the ARLC concentrated their funding for the NRL, with PNG Hunters in the Comp & the borders closed it made it hard to carry on, there was talk of setting up a comp for the clubs in South East Qld as the BRL is starting up and they didn’t want the Q Cup players flooding the BRL, I asked my son if he was going to play BRL as he is duel registered, he said he is waiting to see if there will be any renumeration to the players, remember a lot of players did rely on their football money & have lost their jobs as well, some of the players have gone back to NZ because they didn’t qualify for job keeper & seeker.

Second-tier competitions forgotten while NRL rolls on

I want to know why the roosters players were not penalised for pushing the Souths defenders in the tackle, they are allowed to push their player with the ball but not allowed to touch the defenders, I also note the Raiders & Broncos players doing the same thing, this tactic stopsbthe defenders from putting the ball carrier on the ground & allows for a quicker play the ball.
I noted on a number of occasions the reset button was stuck in Ashley Klien’s gullet, he should not be reffing, he is not up to it & has never been up to it, I nearly spewed when I read he was to ref the game.

Two old foes produce a tough old game

So 45 children in Samoa die of measles because of religious beliefs, nice one Tim.

I’m desperate for the footy to start but I’ll stand by Sia Soliola

The players should be cooperating with the ARLC instead of demanding negotiations for money, that will come, the fans are getting frustrated with the players attitude, many fans have lost their jobs, have had their salaries reduced, had to go on Jobkeeper & Jobseeker for $1500 a fortnight whilst the majority of the players have been paid in full for the last 2 months.
If the players keep on like this it will show me that they don’t give a rats arse for the fans.

Potential player boycott throws NRL return into doubt again

Agree with you about McCullough, Hook moved him from 5/8 to 9 in the Under 20’s, dropped the guy who scored 7 tries in the first 7 games, then brought the guy he dropped back for the preliminary final who scored the winning try on the bell, played him for 20 mins in the grand final & never offered him a go at the Broncos, that guy played over 200 games in the Queensland Cup, he was much much better than McCullough.

The Broncos have no rugby league IQ

Foxtel would not pull out if the Australian teams were winning, the last 5 years or so the Australian teams have been poor, the Wallabies have been up & down like a brides nighty, so why would you pay for crap, Rugby Australia have themselves & International Rugby to blame, too many stupid issuing of red cards has ruined the contest & too many yellow cards for infringements that should just draw penalties, they game should be an even contest but penalties just ruin it for the spectators.

Roll up, folks, it's time for another round of rugby broadcast negotiations by media

In my opinion the Sixers outplayed the stars, their batsmen realised early on what the pitch was doing & battered accordingly against good bowling, they then had their bowlers bowl to the pitch conditions & put pressure on the Stars batsmen, let’s give the Sixers some credit here.
As to the waning in popularity, families don’t have a lot of spare cash so they have to pick & choose which games to attend & now the final 2 weeks have been the start of school.
I have watched more games this year than last year but I get sick of the waffling on of the commentators, when Warney is on the panel I move to channel 7, his criticism of the Stars failing in the finals since the BBL started is farcical as he was with them in the first 3 years when the finals failures started.

It’s a knockout! Thunder with the momentum as Stars get the finals wobbles

True, but he’ll have Cody Walker putting through holes, not much difference.

It's finally over: Latrell Mitchell officially has a new club

He’s a Redcliffe & Balmain legend as well

Souths to be the beneficiaries of Roosters' gamble on Latrell

Broncos have been doing it since they entered the Big Show

Souths to be the beneficiaries of Roosters' gamble on Latrell

Current market value is an interesting rule, Souths have copped it twice already, Inglis & Burgess, now it could be Mitchell’s turn, I have never heard of the Broncos having this put on them, they’ve been signing or resigning players under market value for as long as I can remember, Sims when signed from Newcastle for the base salary of $85,000 when the Knights had offered him over $200,000, Gillett signed for a lot less than what he had been offered, good on the Broncos for getting unders, but I reckon anyone earning over $250,000 should be able to sign for what they want.
Maybe the NRL should look at clubs paying overs, the Broncos for their no.6 or no.1 $ the Titans for half of their players are prime examples.
