Yeah I’m not too sure of having Ardie and Sotutu in the same back row. Ardie is your x-factor type player and the other 2 need to be high work rate, hard tacklers. A back row with Blackadder, Finau and Savea would be my pick.

What most people will remember Sam Cane for - and what they should instead

The reality is this, Super Rugby is a developmental competition that allows NZR to keep professional rugby players in NZ and prepare them for the AB’s. This is best displayed during WC years when AB’s are rested and rotated during Super and the sabbaticals allowed in between WC years. However since SA left it is no longer providing the best development experience especially for the tight forwards. NZR need to think outside the square if they want the AB’s to remain strong.

Razor's pursuit of 'hard bastard' Sam Whitelock reveals the ugly truth about the modern All Blacks

I would bat him at 5 for Tests and replace Henry Nicholls.

No doubt about breakout star Ravindra as young Kiwi represents the new face of world cricket

Congratulations to the Bokke in the end they played better and deserved the win. As an AB fan this will hurt but proud of the way they hung in there and could/should have won in the end.
The rules are a joke and it’s disappointing that the officials had so much influence on the game.

THE GREATEST! Boks beat All Blacks in instant classic to claim record FOURTH RWC in controversial, dramatic final

Scrolling through these comments and all these Aussies crying about him being developed in OZ and end playing for the AB’s are missing the big picture. There is a big opportunity that RA continues to ignore. There are plenty of Kiwi, SA and English families in places like WA and other parts of Australia, raise there kids to Love Rugby but RA continues to ignore the development of these areas and good rugby players end up going back to there home countries to further there development.

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

NZR are not that clever

Five things: World Cup final represents good and evil as All Blacks and Springboks face off

Labeling Ireland as chokers is unfair however if the shoe were on the other foot then the AB’s would absolutely be labeled chokers. Hopefully these labels all to bed and everyone can understand that it doesn’t matter how well you prepare leading into a WC, the best team on the day goes through and there are no guarantees in Sport.

Well the 1/4 final next week will determine Fosters legacy and will test his mettle.
My backline and reserve 3 would go like this.
9. Smith
10. Mounga
11. Ioane
12. J Barrett
13. ALB
14. Jordan
15. B Barrett
21. Roigard
22. Faiganuku
23. DMac
Reiko is the best left wing in the world and will guarantee at least creating 1 try at centre he will guarantee to leak 1 try. It’s pure logic to have him on Left Wing.
For the bench Roigard, Faiganuku and DMac are our form backs and that covers our whole backline. A bit harsh on Talea but this is no time to be sentimental.
Let’s see what Foster is made of.

DMac delivers iconic World Cup moment as All Blacks charge into quarters - but big concerns over injured props

100% agree, I take no joy in seeing Rugby Australia’s demise and I have been concerned for a number of years that NZ Rugby and the All Blacks will suffer if Australia become a Tier 2 nation.
Both countries need to find a way to work together too keep the game in both countries healthy. Otherwise NZ Rugby will end up in the same place.

Will the demise of Australian rugby influence the All Blacks' standards?

Fozzie will be sweating, 4 years of planning for this and the plans are falling apart. The
AB’s have a poor discipline record and you have the wonder with Fozzie attitude as an example of the sense of entitlement that shows. Surely good discipline was a goal for this match after the last 2.
Also Dagg is wrong, you can’t replace a player who is suspended. Fozzie will be hoping I
de Groot is able to play the 1/4 final otherwise they are screwed.

Italy could be up for it!

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

Agreed. Roigard was exactly the player we needed to come in the 2nd half.

I thought Tupou went ok considering the situation and he was out of position. Apart from dropping the ball in the 2nd half he made some good try tackles and few runs. I think there is a potential for him there, but he should never have been put into that position.

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

Discipline, errors and our exits were a problem. French forwards were struggling to keep up with the pace of the game in the first half but we didn’t convert enough of the few opportunities that we had.
Balance of the squad selection is an issue, losing the captain in the day of the game was always going to be unsettling but having an inexperienced lock at 6 for the 1st game is just poor.

Assuming AB’s get to the 1/4 finals, that match is looking like a date with destiny for Foster and this AB team. It feels like a match that will ultimately determine Foster’s legacy.

Is seven weeks enough time for the All Blacks to learn, reset and adapt before the World Cup quarter-finals?

Yes agreed and when 3 out of you 4 loose forwards are effectively #7’s it has the potential to turn ugly quickly and this was exposed.

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

The big problem that was exposed is the awkward selection of Sam Cane and Ardie Savea. Also Sam Canes leadership is a concern, he looked like a deer in the headlights and lost for ideas under all that pressure.

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

I wouldn’t be surprised that some backs get injured and these guys come back for the game against Ireland. The first game against the Boks is going to be a cracker, win that and the Boks don’t need to take any risks, but lose and ever game becomes a must win.

'Not ideal': Springboks name injured skipper for RWC but backline stars miss out as coach names FOUR halfbacks

Well Fozzie can thank Eddie for the extra motivation and some great prematch speech material. “Don’t worry about the Bledisloe boys let’s go out and save our economy”

'Kiwis think they're better than us': Eddie turns up heat on Bledisloe rivals saying 'country sinks' when ABs lose

Good first up performance I thought. Most of the starting team did well and some concerns I had with form were answered.
Caleb Clarke probably the only player who I still have doubts about.
Josh Lord I think his best game in a AB jersey.
Beauden and Dmac combo worked well.
The Pumas were poor in the 1st half and the AB’s were too good. Better teams won’t allow the AB’s so much space.
AB’s need to back it up next week against the Boks. Too often in this ear a good performance is followed up by a poor performance.

'We were outstanding': All Blacks start with three tries in 12 minutes to stun Argentina

I have a few concerns with this team.
1) the forwards – not our best tight 5, especially locks and reserve props.
2) backs 11, 12,13, 15 all out of form. Too many out of form and not playing in there best positions.
3) if the Pumas forwards step up they will win.

McKenzie recalled, Stevenson snubbed, debutant winger named as All Blacks reveal team to face Cheika's Pumas

The frustrating thing for me is the Blues playing BB at 10 and not FB, it was better for everyone incl the AB’s and the Blues. For me BB is not in form and shouldn’t be considered as starting 15. If Will Jordan is a concussion risk then Shaun Stevenson must be selected until Jordan is available.

Kiwi view: The 'blown' 10 minutes that has left every All Blacks fan second-guessing Fozzie's RWC campaign

100% it is out, A kiwi batsman was run out last year at Lords for a similar incident. Stokes and McCullum are embarrassing themselves trying to take the moral high ground. It’s Englands reckless decisions, arrogance and lack of respect to principles of the game the reason they are losing.
