I got your point but I’m not sure you can compare the All Blacks with Manchester City. They are not one of the most successful clubs in the world. City have never won any European title in recent years (in addition to 1970 Cup Winner’s Cup title). They are pretty good in Premier League but that is all. They are very good side because of the money. And considering the money they have, 3 PL, 1 FA Cup and 3 League Cup titles post acquisition
which is 11 years ago are really nothing compared to the All Blacks achievement.
The All Blacks are great team not because of they can buy talents with money. They are not mercenaries like the MC players. Therefore, I don’t think you can compare MC fans to the ABs fans either. Rugby is more than a game of sport for ABs fans especially the kiwi ones. They feel that they are part of the team. And for All Blacks, they might be a humble bunch of folks but they hate losing. Other teams always try to say: there is a silver lining in our loss etc etc but it never happened to the ABs. They will just take it on the chin and move on to the next match and try to be better.
So no, All Blacks and fans will always be happy when they won a match whether it’s against Springboks or a lesser team like Namibia. It’s not All Blacks fault that the rest of the pack can’t catch them up.
Are the All Blacks still happy when they win?
You can’t make any mistakes against the ABs. They will punish you like hell.
