It’s the only flattery you will get from me.

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

Knock yourself out. Not my problem.

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

What no pithy response? No sharp new insult to sling?

But remember – what is happening because of this corporate bullying – is that just because we both might support the wallabies, we are not on the same side.

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

Just grotesque arrogance.

A consumer implies I have a choice.

The scenario here – and the reason it is so grotesque, is that the only choice I have is to not support my teams, To not pay memberships and to not contribute. because when I do, these people and people like you suggest I support them – I do not. They, and you repulse me.

To be clear that is membership at four rugby clubs for four people, coaching at two, with two playing boys. Support teams every weekend from February to September. Encourage other to do the same and try to contribute to the community to the extent that I can.

So no, I’m not just a consumer, and I’m not a fan either. I’m a member of the rugby community and I pay my dues (far, far less than many) and I have aright to have a voice represented.

Here’s an idea – give us all the optiom to pay RA fees or not when we haond ver our money at every turn – see how much consumer support you get then…!

But that’s the blackmail isn’t it.

When I support my team, which I’ll always do, I’m seen to be supporting these people – but I completely disagree with them. I think what is happening is the most grotesque abuse of power we have ever seen in the game.

But it’s wonderful to know they are spending $$$ on media consultants for the broadcast deal again…because that worked so well for us when Castle didn’t know what she was doing either.

I wonder if the imaginary optus deal will resurface….

I can’t decide which is more farcical;

The chairman pretending that the criticism is just a few people with an axe to grind, or

the chair pretending we hadn’t noticed that was him just a few months ago!

A Hahahahahah! Oh my goodness! You are just SO witty.

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

No Dan,

The lesson is that you think accountability is for other people.

And now with the nsw vote under your control you have a governance structure that has given you absolute, albeit completely unearned power.

“Now that I’m in control, it’s important that we don’t make any more changes “.

It’s utterly appalling.

'Easy to throw stones': RA chairman hits back at mudslingers' 'hypocrisy' after calls for AGM board cleanout

Wow.

Herbert knifed his chair in the most grotesque and backhanded manner, then went to great lengths to discredit him. (Whether you agree with that happening or not, those are objective truths).

This is the same guy who is now trying to bignote himself on the back of the platform he inhereited while being completely silent on the rebels fiasco.

And he is now having a tanty about people throwing stones at him…?

You reap what you sew Herbert.

How is it possible this guy is the chair of RA?!

'Easy to throw stones': RA chairman hits back at mudslingers' 'hypocrisy' after calls for AGM board cleanout

Well done Ross.
This is certainly a worthwhile endeavour. I believe you have the support of the bulk of the rugby public.
A democratic approach is my preference. A single vote for every registered member over 18 would see genuine accountability to the community.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

Okay mate…Keep telling yourself what you want to hear.

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

Yeah. That’s not a process.

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

Well, we were told the process would involve a global search and have a very strong Australian flavour. I don’t see any evidence of any of those characteristics.

So if you do, please explain it to the rest of us…

If that is the case.

Then you must agree that they should be judged solely on win loss and tournament success – As there is no other measure.

Which means we must set a number that they must be judged against.

I would put that number 70% AND silverware.

Anything less and they should go.

You simply cannot build a strong argument that this latest appointment is world class.

That doesn’t mean he is a bad coach and I’ve no doubt he is a terrific bloke – like the rest of them. My comments are never personal.

The point is that it is outrageous when our increasingly limited funding is used to develop mediocre talent from other places, who will take whatever growth they gain from their position and apply it elsewhere or not at all.

Schmidt is commuting to Aus (because of his impressive devotion to his family),

Cron is retired – and commuting from NZ.

Fisher will retire after this appointment.

Parling will go directly to Europe.

Not one of these appointments will grow the game here beyond their record on the pitch.

So unless the results are outrageously good, it is a complete waste of time, money and opportunity – just like Rennie was.

Because there are levels. And we want our best to get the opportunity to coach for amd against at the national level.

What we have now done for 5 of the last 6 years is prevent any development of Australian talent. For 35%. Which is not better than a developing Aussie talent.

Because it is not a club team, it is our national representative side.

Great,
Can you please clarify this process?

As far as I can see, it’s two retirees and now a guy without a contract after his super rugby side is cut – who has the worst line out stats in the comp.

…but hey – at least there are no Australians in the Australian coaching set up. Phew!

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

Well, the genius is that this way, we can ALWAYS say that there are no experienced Australian coaches!

Because, you know, we don’t have any experienced Australian coaches – because we make sure that no Australians get any experience. And it just keeps going in a circle until no one is listening any more – and we’re getting closer to that place with every inept decision…

Phew. Another bullet dodged!

I thought they were going to invest in developing Australian coaching talent there for a minute…

Now if could just get around have to use Australian players…thoughts?

Couldn’t be happier for the team and for DC. Great and brave change to bring in Harrison.

Appalling that the decision is up to RA bureaucrats, but he deserves to continue his project in my view. Perhaps some fresh technical support.

And it’s dying there too isn’t it?

Rugby Australia kicks off review into Waratahs as pressure mounts on Coleman ahead of Brumbies clash

So super rugby is now officially nothing more that a trial match.

The wallabies management will choose players, coaches, direct tactics and game strategy.

If the competition was already on life support, this finally kills it.
