I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t think Finch is a good enough batsmen to survive the swinging new ball in English conditions.. He’ll be a walking wicket all tournament.

Australia launch enormous recovery to win World Cup classic against West Indies

Great innings from NCN, but unfortunately I think he’ll be dropped.

Our 5th bowler is going to be targeted by oppositions, so the 4th genuine option can’t keep going at more than 6rpo.

Lyon in for NCN against India for mine…

Unfortunately I fear the biggest flop has the potential to be Finch.

I like him, ne’s a decent skipper but he just can’t handle the balling swinging back into him.

When you look quality of opening bowling units of each of the big nations….in English conditions I fear he’s going to be a walking wicket at the top of the order.

Happy to be proven wrong though!

How Australia can win the battle of the big men

Nick, do you think it’s at all possible for Skelton to ever be made into an 8 in the WBs?
He’s always reminded me of a damaging ball runner like a Wille O, but he has the subtle skills to ball play as well?

How Australia can win the battle of the big men

Agreed linz.

I also think the whole event needs to be actually enjoyable. I previously went to tahs games religiously, until it got to a point where I thought wow…this is actually not much fun.

For me, game day needs to be an event that attracts people. For mine, its’ simple….the answers are in the Warrangah Rats article in todays Daily Telegraph.

Crowds: An actual national rugby crisis that demands attention

What I can’t understand through this whole saga, is the the religious types who so passionately believe it is their god-given right to say whatever they want (free from recrimination) because it is consistent with the teachings of their chosen religion.

Consider for a second, that I’m in Folau’s position and genuinely and whole-heatedly follow some underground, backward, melieval religion that believes the same as Folau except in my case the word ‘homosexual’ is replaced with ‘black people’ or ‘women’ or any historically marganilsed group.

Would those same people still passionalety defend my viewpoint like they are Folau…

His position is clearly untenable, and I for one, believe RA (and Castle) have handled this perfectly.

Will Raelene Castle survive the Folau scandal?

Jeeez….there’s some over the top Hooper hate going on here.

I agree Pocock is better over the ball than Hooper & Hooper (coming back from serious injury) definitely wasn’t at his best against the ABs (maybe he should have started on the bench in those games).

But man, he’s been our best, and most consistent player for the last 5 years. Forgot what number he and Pocock wear. Pocock plays over the ball like a traditional 7, Hooper (while smaller) has the running/cover game that you’d want from a 6. Forget their numbers…they both are (and should) be first picked each week.

Cheika makes seven frontline changes, but baulks at benching Hooper

Does Pete Samu feature anywhere in your mind Nick?

I haven’t seen much of him to be honest.. what are his atrributes/strengths?

Will the Wallabies feel the need for speed after Eden Park?
