Shallow in talent – Lichaa and McInnes are years off, haven’t seen much of Randall but Levi’s a kiwi, Rein and Peats are fair but I haven’t seen anything to be excited about. I’m quietly holding hope for Liddle from the Tigers but let me throw another name in the ring that never gets discussed.

Not sure if Woods or Graham have the type of strategic brain NSW needs in a captain to at least try to get on the same level as Smith and co. I’d probably be looking at giving it to Maloney for a few years while cultivating a leadership group and getting them making the right choices.

I thought the same Brian. Examining the strengths and weaknesses of both teams and the score lines in the series the prudent decision was: take the 2 when Cronk was off after the penalty was given straight in front; get possession from the restart; play through the middle then play to the QLD right side, hopefully exposing a mistake with the missing defender. There was no real overlap opportunities playing 5-10 meters out as Boyd defends as part of the line. Taking the ball back makes the game line 13 vs 11 or if Boyd plays shallow look for a 40/20.

I think so. Played juniors for Ashcroft and Cabramatta. Unsure if he was 13 though so I wouldn’t put too many zero’s on it.

Klemmer bends the line every hit up. He’s an offload short of being a top level front rower but has the ability to play big minutes, full of passion and is a damaging ball runner. Worth persisting with
