Well, I guess Daryl Coleman is as disappointed as all Wallaby fans but at the same time relieved today. He now looks like a genius for letting “Donald Duck” go to the Force.

Who’s Jose Mourinho?

Rugby’s Mourinho: Why Australian rugby desperately needs Eddie Jones

Yes

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

Just someone who has followed his career expressing my opinion. Big talk held Kearns on 2nd Grade but could not make him a Wallaby. Unlike Peter Fitzsimmons who talked himself into the Wallabies until they saw him play.
No harm no foul

Well, I guess the more things change the more they stay the same.
Edward Jones has never forgiven his humiliation by Australian Rugby when, as the Waratahs & Randwick 1st grade No.2, Phil Kearns was plucked out of the 2Nd Grade Randwick to play for the Wallabies in 1989.
Eddie has carried that chip for a long time and I thought he may have finally put it behind him after he singlehandedly won the WRC for England in 2003. Let’s face it he selected possibly our “GOAT” 7 at 6 and played Phil Waugh at 7. Joe Roff was left on the bench for more than 70min when he replaced “Hello” Sailor. He trusted Elton “Pop Gun” Flatfoot at 12 as the kicker and Matt “Pinball” Rodgers at 15 as the backup kicker. Both missed kicks which would have won the game in ordinary time and left Matt Burke, one of the best goal-kickers of his era sitting in the stand.
I do not count Eddie’s role as “Gear Steward” in Jake White’s SA winning 2007 team as his second WRC victory and we must not forget during his tenure with the English team, Ireland rose to No. 1 in the world.
I am glad Will Skelton seemed as surprised as I did as his selection as Captain and I’m sure that it’s the same for many Wallaby supporters.
I have followed the Wallabies for more than sixty years and have no intention of changing my allegiance despite all of Eddie’s efforts.
Good luck lads I hope I’m still around to be able to cheer for you in 2007 when we are rid of the “Tasmanian Devil”

I have a question regarding the Laws and I was wondering if the ROAR Gurus could provide me with an answer. In the 26th minute, there was a disallowed try by Mark Telea. Initially, Wayne Barnes declared it an “onfield try,” but later ruled that Telea did not touch the ball with his foot during the penalty tap. Ethan de Groot, the All Blacks No. 1, was positioned ahead of Telea when he attempted the kick. Should Mr. Barnes have penalized the All Blacks in the first instance?
