Not a great world cup, thats a massive understatement!
You say approximately 8 or so s15 games and a similiar number of test matches is not much to go by….I think in a professional sports enviroment thats plenty to make a judgement call.
As for this year no one has really taken the game to the opostition but of those that have played Cooper is the least consistent with a litterny of basic errors.
Im all for flare or creativity but not at the expense of having a level head

Cooper keeps Reds honest

Makes me laugh with anti kiwi coach sentiment when I read Cheikas in NZ scouting an assistant haha

CAMPO: Deans says scoring tries not important

Richie has a lot of attributes required at the highest levels of rugby.
Firstly-mental toughness with a desire to win at all cost and demonstrated with the WRC foot injury.
Secondly- high aerobic capacity as noted by the ABs conditioning coach. Less gym and more running. As fit as anyone.
Thirdly-balance in the tackle (offensively & defensively), the ruck and general play.

He is definetly in the top echelon of players given it is very hard to compare players between generations.

Also, given that he was only selected in a rep side when 19yrs goes to prove the adage that some players mature later and it is not until aroung this age do you know what you have got. too often young men are slated as being stars before they actually are!

Is Richie McCaw the greatest rugby player ever?

i think Mark Ella has selected the indigenous side for the the national u16 tournament in Sydney, so is contributing, albeit to a lesser drgree
