Australia will need a rearguard backup plan

Where tonight's Australia-England semi will be won or lost

I hope Aussie win. But I have a feeling it is England’s time. The stars seem to be aligning. They should have missed the cut but they didn’t. Now they face a good but not unbeatable Australia. Kiwis also dealt with their big opposition. Though Finch is due for a win at the toss but I wouldn’t hang my hat

Where the game will be won? The toss.

Where tonight's Australia-England semi will be won or lost

Yes but Australia need to go harder in the first 10 overs and get to 60 or 70 with the field up. I don’t know why a lot of teams have abandoned this approach, maybe the bowling is too good or the pitch doesn’t suit but risks need to be taken early rather than later to put pressure on the fielding side exactly what NZ didn’t do last night. That way you can knock it around for a run a ball for 30 overs and then hopefully use all their batsman to tee off in the last 10.

The true cost of Australia's loss to the Proteas

I’m not saying to change Carey or Cummings. !!

Wounded Australia fall to South Africa, drop top spot ahead of World Cup finals

Wade as a batsman only. I wouldn’t get rid of Carey.

Marsh has done nothing. Why does his name keep coming up. Bring in Zampa and Wade. Wade to shore up the middle and Zampa and Lyon to attack with 3 quicks. Sometimes attack is your best form of defence.

How many teams have won from winning the toss. ? Anyone? It would be interesting reading

Yep

Wounded Australia fall to South Africa, drop top spot ahead of World Cup finals

I thought Australia might lose because of the SA with nothing to lose attitude as well as Australia looking towards the finals. Seems with the lost toss ( again) and poor first 10 overs was where we lost it. Not a good time to go off the boil. And every body was happy with the result except Australia and the Kiwis

They should call in Wade.

Maxwell, Marsh injured as Australia forced into World Cup swap

To have one of England or India not make the finals is a bonus. If they play separate semis I will predict an Eng v India final.

Aussies have plenty to play for against Proteas

I smell an upset.

Can anyone tell me why pitching outside leg is not out but pitching outside off stump could be out.

Australia recover from slow start to hammer New Zealand at Lord's

He didn’t break his contact because he didn’t sign it. That’s why he’s going to court.

The thing no one wants to say about Israel Folau

It’s not like he is holding a gun to anyone’s head over this fundraiser. I’m not giving him any. If people want to give him money how is that a problem for me? Unless I am jealous maybe. Again it seems to be one set of rules for every one else except Israel.

Maloney is a turnstile. They will run at him all night and he should hit double figures in missed tackles

Hey Freddy, NSW only lost Game 1 by four points. Wholesale team changes weren't needed

It’s not rocket science. Explode in the first 10 when the field is up and aim for 60 plus(=60). Push the singles in the middle for 6 an over (=180) and hope you’ve got batsmen left to tee off from over 38 aiming for 100 more. That give you 300, any more is a bonus.

Australia back slow approach in World Cup chase

Australia has to bat first and the total 50. Then trust their bowlers and fielding to build pressure. If India get 300+ they will defend easily.

Australia vs India: 2019 Cricket World Cup preview and prediction

I wonder if you should bat or bowl first and what is the ratio of bowl first win game so far in the WC. Or vice versa. Seems to me those batting second are winning?

Australia vs West Indies: 2019 Cricket World Cup preview and prediction

Except for the NSW forward pass in game 2 last year that led to the defining try QLD could have won the series. So it wasn’t as comfortable as NSW think it was. Whoever has most dominant forward pack wins.

Aussie bowlers rusty in World Cup opener

I agree. Two spinners, definitely.

Australia should play two spinners against Windies

Yes. A bit like South African Statistics up against Bangladesh statistics.
