The Blues Brothers have been great for Australia over a long period. As hard as it is to compare eras, I’d guess the great West Indies quartets of the 70s-90s would possess the lowest team score averages which would be a fair comparison. You never saw many double centuries against them and even a century by an opponent was met with the highest of praise from the pundits and media for courage and skill. It was always hard to make a big total when there was nothing to drive. Though again, different era, the pitches could be argued to be more bowler friendly back then than some of the flat tracks these days.

Australia’s quartet of quality will soon be most prolific in Test history - but never the greatest

I have no issue with the premiership cup being named in honour of Ron Barrassi, an icon of Australian Rules Football, but why talk about this immediately after his death, this should’ve been done years ago to honour the person while he was alive.

COMMENT: It's time for the AFL to immortalise Ron Barassi - and only one prize is worthy of his name
