I think Howe has had some better marks since being at the pies (imo). I would rate both Browns and Riewoldt’ grabs as sensational. I think Brad ottens grab was good, but not top 10 of this century.
I would have Goddard’ mark in the 2010 granny in there. I would also think Cyril and Puopolo would make it. Watch rd 2, 2017 Puopolo vs Crows. It’s an insanely good mark. He also took an amazing mark against Geelong and another against Collingwood in 2014.
For Cyril his Rd 17, 2008 mark between 2 Geelong players, moving with flight of the ball, was a sensational grab also.
Finally, Cyril’s 2012, Rd 1 grab against Collingwood is up there.
Just my 2 cents worth

Masters of the Air: The ten greatest AFL 'speckies' of the 21st century - and #2 wasn't even Mark of the Year!

They received Dean Gore..an absolute gun. Haha,. But they also got picks 9 and 28….definitely unders but it meant that they didnt only pick 13 that year. I think losing a player like dangerfield, the club losing him must get something more than that sort of compo….On the market, he is at least 2 high first rounders. North are a joke.

AFL News: 'Blatant manipulation' - Coaches angry as Roos get draft boost, Lions star pushes through Payne barrier

I remember around the same time Melbourne got pick 3 for Colin Silvio when he went to Dockers…What a joke. He barely got a game.

have to agree with your sentiment. McKay is big, but average. It should also be the talent being lost that is taken into consideration, rather than just the cash. Also, north havent even tried to keep him. They honestly need to get rid of the pick compo, unless its a top 6 team stealing players from bottom 6 teams…Something like that. Otherwise, it means that clubs dont even try to keep them…example. Daniher…

It was actually 7 as player and 4 as coach. (He captain coached one)

COMMENT: It's time for the AFL to immortalise Ron Barassi - and only one prize is worthy of his name

Are argument is so flawed.
Naming it after one player/ex player/coach would disrespect other teams how? There’s the Leigh matthews AFL mvp award…there’s the norm smith Medal…there’s the Coleman medal…
The list goes on and on. Why not name it after a legend. It could be the barassi-tuck trophy, as both of those won it the most. Or just Barassi cup. Why not

The injury was third term and he was already getting destroyed by Finn.

Six Points: Defending Daicos' 'dive', the moment that summed up Saints' slide, and why Mitchell is the AFL's best coach

Maginness is 189cm, so not small, but anout 4cm shorter than bont

I agree that we’ve been poor some games…but we didn’t just beat west coast, we destroyed them by over 100…and we easily beat north twice. We only lost to Adelaide by 3, gws by 2 and Richmond by 1 point… we also were terrible in a few losses, I agree, hence your argument stands

Im a Hawks supporter and actually agree with you. Our great has been wonderful to watch, but we have had some quarters or half’s of football that were the worst in 70 years…. I love the development of some of our players and the attacking game style, but he isn’t there yet as coach of the year material. I would give him most improved. And collingwoods coach best coach…unless they capitulate in the next month

Fractured femur is a little different than this injury.

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

That’s a ridiculous comment. I’m a hawks supporter, but it really is a silly thing to suggest. Hawthorn were first team to score 100 points against them since round 4. Cool your jets. I hate to say it, but Collingwood will be there at the pointy end.

i understand what your point is, but lets say someone kicks for goal and siren sounds, and after siren sounds an opposition shoves an opponent in the back and spoils the ball, should they get second free kick closer to goal, even though the shove was after siren?? No it shouldnt happen. The free occurred after the siren. The out of bounds in this case was after siren, so a free kick wouldve had to have happened after the siren. But the game is over, so it cant happen. Its not rocket science.

Six Points: Bevo has a month to save himself, and the rule tweak needed to prevent another 'Sirengate'

If someone is having a set shot on goal after siren, but the opposition jumps into someones back while spoiling ball over line, should it be a free after the siren?? I dont think so. Same applies here. Ball can go where its going, but a free or mark cant be paid after siren. It seems really simple, but no one gets it.

Six Points: Bevo has a month to save himself, and the rule tweak needed to prevent another 'Sirengate'

ok Tim, imagine this scenario. The siren has sounded and someone has a set shot at goal. The opposition use their hands in their opponents backs to climb on shoulders to punch ball away from goal. Should that be paid a free kick and be another closer shot on goal?? I would say no

We got something for gunston, who could have left for no compensation. The pick 48, plus the pick 41 and 50 that we got for mitchell (plus we got a 21 year old first rounder (cooper stephen) we used to get Hustwaite. He slide a lot and i think he’ll turn out to be something good. So essentially for him and gunston we got Hustwaite and Cooper Stephen, who have massive upside. Granted, we would be better with them, but gunston was leaving regardless, so we made best of a bad situation and mitchell didnt help us get better, as he was too slow. He is better at the pies, as they have a better list right now, so he doesnt need to be the main man.

Ok Pete, so tell me this, if someone kicks the ball and the siren goers, but its a behind, should we let the opposition kick it out? Or even better, if the opposition kciks it to their opponents goal line for a point, but it goes through after the siren, is it deliberate behind? And hence a free kick on goal, even though the siren sounded before it went through? The answer is NO. Of course not. The score counts, but no mark or free kick can occur if the siren sounded before the incident (crossing the boundary or goal line deliberately) took place. Deal with it. Its common sense
