Although i love Tupou’s barnstorming runs I can’t help but feel someone else is having to work double time in the close contact stuff to allow him that freedom. Works at SR level & probably certain International sides – but against the big 3 you just don’t have that luxury.
Alaaltoa’s game invovement isn’t as spectacular but he’s hands-on all of the time, making time & space for someone else. The upside for TT is his solid scrummaging – he’d seem the perfect player to bring on at the back end & wouldn’t be a liability in the scrum.
