I will be backing the Reds this Satuday, as I have done every game, even through their troubled years. Although it should be be fun watching my team run red hot and seeing our oldest rival suffer, the reality is, it hurts. The competition is much better off with a strong NSW side. Its too late for squad and coaching changes, therefore the Tah’s need to play smart to be competitive this season.

Could the Waratahs deliver the upset of the season?

Yeah, fair call.

Harry Johnson-Holmes, my dear Watson!

Good pick up, I’ll take better care in the future, particularly when commenting on tonight’s game between Bramble’s and the Forks!

Fraser….but he looks like a Liam.

I very much enjoyed the read Doc!

A couple of disagreements I have are.
2. This jersey belongs to BPA & Uelese, they have shown over the past seasons that their set piece play is ahead of all others, while they have the size and skills to provide handy carries and defensively jackling. I think the next 2-3 years will see a shared honors for the yellow no.2, with injury status largely dictating who gets the run on.
4. Interesting left field call, but I just don’t see FLW as a international quality lock, he may improve and challenge for the no. 6 jersey. Hosea would be my pick, but ultimately with Rodda returning I think he will eventually claim the L/O chief position.
9. As much as I enjoy watching TM, this is still White’s jersey. He is still our best option at 9, but TM should get more opportunities off the bench in coming years.
10& 15. No criticism here. I really liked you make up of the backline. MT at 10 & JOC at 15 provides a better play making axis in order afford your centre and wing combinations.

My mid-season Wallaby 23

Hi Nick,
Long time reader first time commenter!
Although the QLD vs ACT game showcased a great forwards matchup. I appreciated the matchup between the two sides centre’s, as I believe these 4 individuals will be strongly competing for the yellow 12 & 13 jumpers for the next 4 years. My question is, does Hunter Paisami have the potential of being the complete package at 12? Hard Running, Tackling, Passing, Kicking and general decision making under defensive pressure. I understand he is still developing into the 12 role but from the current evidence is he on the way?
