I think Payne Haas is the most talented forward I have seen in ages. Better than Sonny Bill in my humble opinion. Better than Taumalolo, Gorden Tallis. I think he’ll be an immortal if he plays for at least 10 years.

I hope he’s not used as a battering ram though, he’s far too talented to just run and tackle.

The Roar's NRL top 50 players: 10-1

As a bulldogs fan I think they did extremely well in the 2nd half of last season. Most of the dominant teams have a few players in this list, we had a team of very inexperienced youngsters and we still beat top teams. Dean Pay, coaching staff and the club need to be applauded, it showed real character to end the season as they did.

My 17 (Bulldogs)
1.DWZ
2.R. Smith

10.Napa
11.CHN
12.Jackson

or even put Raymnd Faitala mariner at 8 and Tolamn then moves to 13.
Stimson then replaces Katoa or drops out of 17

The Roar’s 2020 NRL preview series: Rounding out the bottom four

I’m probably one of few who think Canterbury will have a good season.
I like the team and the balance, I agree they’re missing a few big names and game breakers
when you compare to some of the top teams.
Half way through ‘2019 season, they were tipped for the wooden spoon.
The way, the club was able to turn that around, win games through hard work and belief
really says a lot about Pay & co., as well as the playing group.
Prediction: Top 8 finish

I disagree about Lachlan lewis. I love the way he plays and I think he has a lot of potential. He doesn’t play structured, he’s very spontaneous and plays what he sees. I’ve seen him do some really good stuff, like set up some really nice trys. As a bulldogs fan, I love watching him play.

Bulldogs season preview by the fans

It’s frightening, all women have to do is give themselves a couple of bruises or cuts and walk into the police station. If she’s vindictive or shes wants to set you up, it’s not hard. You can lose your freedom, your kids, job and assets.
I had a girlfriend once who was very manipulative and a very good liar. One night she decided she didn’t want me anymore and she started punching me in the face over and over and she kept taunting me to hit her. I think I know what her plan was, looking back now.

Josh Reynolds highlights the 'complex' nature of sporting fandom

Well each case should be assessed on merit as each case has different circumstances and individuals. It’s only fair that way. With Reynolds ex partner being a manipulative liar who stole money off her boyfriends, it really does seem like a set-up.

Okay, So Api Korasiu a much better player?

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

I was surprised that Ogden only played a handful of games, he’s a big body, young and enthusiastic. I wonder what level of improvement we’re going to see in the bulldogs young players this season.
As you mentioned I thought To’omaga looked like a really good player from what I saw of him. I wonder how guys like him and Ogden will play.
Yeh imagine that, bringing Tolman and Napa off, only to have Ogden and To’omago come on.
What do you think Ogden has to do to improve his game TB? Don’t you think he’s made for footy, he’s just missing something.
Payne Haas, if we could pick any player for our team I would pick him. Tedesco second, but Haas, judging by what I’ve seen so far, I think he will be an Immortal.
I really can’t wait for the season to start, bulldogs fans arent too optimistic but I really Am. Think the morale and balance of the players is great, I think Dean Pay is underrated he needs more of a chance.
Do you go to games TB?
We’ve got a bit too many players in the backrow/forward department, it’s hard to decide who plays and who doesn’t. I like Chris Smith too.

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

It’s hard to choose who to put in and who to leave out. Adam Elliot is a good personality for the team but if I’m judging based on just football style/skill then I prefer Chris smith to Elliot.
Ogden is big and strong, I’d like to see some games with him and to’omaga coming off the bench, maybe even both going on at the same time.
I think dean pay might give all the guys who played first grade last year more than a few games each during the season

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Not really that impressed by Adam elliot, he seems like a good team player and has a good work rate but he doesn’t bend the line back at all

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

I thought Katoa was not bad, I didn’t watch him a lot though, am i wrong about katoa? He seems like a simple no. 9 , nothing great but gets the job done

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Whats wrong with the spine? DWZ is a good player and international. JMK filled the no.9 spot very well last season. Lewis is the most aggressive defensive centre in the nrl and he’s not at all afraid to play how he sees things. Cogger and Wakeham will rotate unless one stands out.
It’s not a bad spine at all

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Yeh I was trying to work out the backrow and bench spots with Britt and Stimson in the team now too. Jackson could go to lock. I think Stimson is more of a ball player, I haven’t seen a lot of games though. Jackson has an excellent work ethic and might be better suited to 13. CHW has been playing really well so he has got to be in the second row.
Last season Pay gave a lot of players games. I think he will do the same, giving all those guys you mentioned games. It didn’t make the players happy though last season.

To’omaga looked promising last year too

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Actually I would rather have Napa over Klemmer.

Dogs do have class forwards and backs, maybe they don’t have the same high profiles as other clubs.

I like the way they attack under Pay.

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

I’m very excited and optimistic about the bulldogs upcoming season. I really like the way Dean Pay has got his team playing. There aren’t many stars in the team but he still has them playing a very entertaining type of football when they’re on.
The two games last season that come to mind is against the melbourne storm in the early rounds and then vs parramatta towards the end of the season. Even the commentators like Andrew Johns, Phil Gould (i think) and Paul Vautin were saying it’s the best game they’ve watched all season, that’s quite remarkable considering that the bulldogs have a team of many unknown players and they weren’t even considered a top 8 team.
Sione Katoa the new hooker for the dogs played in the historic win for tonga over Australia. Will Hopoate played in that game too. Sione Katoa from media reports and interviews seems very happy at the dogs as does dallin watene zelezniak. When players are really happy, the team does better, we all know that. Will Hopoate is probably I think the dogs best player with Josh Jackson and Aiden Tolamn. Will Hopoate has formed a good partnership with Reimis Smith.
Joe Stimson could be a fantastic player but I think you have to play him the right way to really see how good he is. He’s a natural footballer as opposed to athlete.
I really like the balance of the dogs this year, I sense the energy is really good amongst players and coaches.
I’m really pleased we have Lachlan Lewis, love his style . Just plays it as he sees it, ad lib, gets more involved in defence then any half in the game.
I hope we see Ben Wakeham get a lot more games because this guy is talented
I think the dogs will have a good year. I see them in the top 8 at season end.
By round 5 i’m tipping that they will be in the top 6.

Why your team will do better in 2020: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

TB – will you be writing the ‘why your team will be better in 2020’ article
for the bulldogs?
Interested to hear what you think of the dogs this year, I know many don’t
see them as a top 8 team but I definitely do. So many reasons why I think
we’ll see a very good team this year.

Sea Eagles hovering under the radar once more

Yep, very true. Hasler was the difference.

Where does James Maloney rate among the NRL's greats?

Michael Ennis improved a lot in his latter years. IMO if the bulldogs didn’t have Michael Ennis i’m not sure they make the 2012 & 2014 GF’s.

Where does James Maloney rate among the NRL's greats?

The bulldogs will be in the top 8 this year, is my prediction. They played incredibly well in some of their games in 2019 and it wasn’t structured play at all. For any bulldogs fans, check out their game against Melbourne in round 4 or 5 and their game against Parra near the end of the season at Bankwest.
This year, they have more experience playing together. I really like the balance of the team.
Unlike many people, I don’t see Foran as a huge loss. I hope they give Wakeham a chance because he is talented.
The other thing i like about the bulldogs is the vibe/mentality/atmosphere amongst the players/coaches. Tehy don’t have stars, there’s a lot of young inexperienced players and I don’t detect a lot of ego, they look like a team that really get along well without the cliques and silly behaviour.
The older players they do have are good role models and they’re not egoistic and these guys shape the culture of the club – Josh Jackson, Will Hopoate, Aiden Tolman (these guys are the leaders and their good guys).
Then you have younger players like Dallen Walezniak, Faitala Mariner, Sione Katoa, again not alot of ego just good guys.
I really believe Sione Katoa will fit in great at the bulldogs both in the way he plays and his personality.
Joe Stimson is a good player – underrated in my opinion.
Jeremy Marshall King – love his effort
Corey Hara weira Nara – one of the best backrower in the game
I’m tipping the bulldogs to be in the top 4 after 5 rounds
Dean pay is leading them in the right direction

Ladder yo-yo: Which teams will switch spots for the finals?

I think if Jesse Ramien was actually more talented than he already is, then there’s no way that Nathan Brown let’s the relationship deteriorate to this. As a coach, you should have more integrtity and treat people equally because you’re all apart of the team, not treat people based on how valuable they are determined by how good they are. I could be completely wrong obviously, and it just might be that Jesse Ramien has a poor attitude.

Jesse Ramien headed for the Newcastle Knights exit

As a bulldogs supporter and taking into consideration the last two rounds I’m tipping broncos by 16

Broncos vs Bulldogs: NRL Thursday night forecast

I can understand why people thought they’d be right up there. They’ve got some really talented footballers, Payne Haas is the next superstar of the game in my opinion. Then there’s Tevita Pangai Jnr, Ofengahue, David Fifita, Matt Lodge. Anthony Milford was once a game breaker who knew that there wouldn’t be more of the same. Mchulloch is a pretty decent no. 9. Darius Boyd is not playing well at all this year but he’s an ex origin great. Corey Oates is one of the best wingers in the game and at the beginning of the season they also had James Roberts, another origin star.
They’ve got a great team, but I agree they probably lost a few senior players which disturbed the balance of their team.

What's going wrong with the Broncos?

lol

Why we can't call Bellamy rugby league's greatest ever coach

On a side note..does anyone else find Bellamys loss of composure in the coaches box …erm i cant think of a word..but they’re really off putting..
