The last 5 minutes of Portugal / Fiji and the 10 minutes after the game ended totally reinvigorated my jaded rugby pallet. Bravo Portugal and how classy were Fiji in defeat (not least their coach’s magnificent gesture with the kit)? More please !

Yeah. interesting point Perthstayer… Borthwick was ultra conservative for the RWC mainly given the short time he had in the coach seat. Not my cuppa of rugby style but Eng exceeded expectations and very nearly got to the final. Borthwick is now trying to broaden the style which will take time … misfired against the Scots, fired against Ire, who knows next time out against France. I’d back Schmidt to do something similar with the Wallabies, really impressed we’ve hired him
