Dow not getting games reminds me a little
of Shaun Grigg. Ratten wouldn’t play him.
I guess coaches have their favourites and
then there’s players they don’t rate. I read
that Voss likes McGovern.
Would understand if Dow decides to leave
and play elsewhere next year.

AFL News: Outrage over Blue's 'borderline cruel' snub, great warns of 'playing possum' in dangerous tackle debate

I’ve watched all of Carlton’s games this year. I agree that even though we had a couple of wins early, we were far from impressive. The only good game we have played this year was against Geelong.
After last night’s loss, may as well accept that we won’t be playing finals and start planning for next year. Start playing the kids more and find out who will be part of the future.

Footy Fix: The Blues are rubbish, but the Dees were just as bad - and four images perfectly sum up why

Can’t believe that Dow wasn’t picked to play against Melbourne with the extent of
Carlton’s injuries. He’s getting 30 to 40 possessions a game in the VFL but Voss won’t
play him. I can tolerate O’Brien coming in but I start to worry when LOB & Plowman
are both playing together.
Some changes will have to be made at the end of the year if we can’t turn things around soon.

The clock is ticking for Michael Voss, Luke Sayers and the Carlton Football club

What Carlton do at the end of the year with the list will be interesting. They have
a few players that are chronically injured.
Some of them on big coin. Changes need to made to their list.

Blue Bagger nightmare: If not this year, when will Carlton's top-eight drought finally end?

Carlton’s midfield is one-paced and they need to find one or two speedy midfielders.
Dow is killing it in the seconds but Voss won’t play him. Maybe try Cunningham there.
Don’t think Fisher is the answer. Our small forwards are workman like but we lack an
explosive small forward. Motley needs more time to develop. They brought in Jack Martin
but he is too injury prone ; it hasn’t worked. So far this year I would say Carlton has regressed
and gone backwards from last year. I will be interested with what the list managers do at the
end of the year. Maybe they should let De Koning go for some early draft picks.

Footy Fix: The Blues have a serious problem - they're far too easy to beat

Carlton have copped a lot of injuries but so have some of the other clubs. Look at Brisbane and their key forwards going down. This year I just hope we make the top eight. Next year push for top four.

Blues injury blow: Harry McKay out for six

I think it’s a bit early to be saying Parkes isn’t up to it – he’s only played a few games
Settlefield has now played 50 and should be impacting more.

Is Voss singing the Blues?

The small forwards were disappointing against Freo . We needed more from them as McKay and Curnow had limited impact
Bring in Stocker maybe Philps and drop Newnes and Setterfield.

Is Voss singing the Blues?

It’s way too early to say Parkes isn’t up to it
He’s only played a few games. Stocker and Philp should be brought in . Setterfield has been a disappointment & I don’t know why
They play Newnes.
