Oz rugby will be crap and poor so as long as we stay in super rugby

Australian rugby needs to stand united

David Nucifora did play for the wallabies your incorrect there..
RA have set up the academy systems again which is good.. The problem for me is schools. They have to decide if they wanna be part of wallaby success. The GPS and other private school associations have to let RA take over running there competitions or ordering how they are run. This will help lift standards . But it appears the GPS and other private school associations care more about there power base and outdated traditions than helping the wallabies by setting up elite pathways for 1st 15 rugby. If the GPS aren’t bothered by the wallabies performance at the World Cup they should start letting there boys attend there schools , play elite junior club rugby and not be forced to play and contribute to school sport at the schools anymore eg rugby , so they can play elite RA pathways rugby. GPS schools in banned qld there kids going to the state champs so they were made to give a stuff about there school 1st 15 teams and contribute to the fibre of the school rather than be part of RA programs like the state champs and wallaby pathways etc

Wrong you are.. CAS/GPS rugby were very strong in the 90”s… 1996 at kings you had future wallabies like Julian Huxley and super rugby players eg Digby Beaumont.. Joeys had wallaby lock Al Campbell. And the competitions in the 90”s were fierce where all the schools each year had competitive sides and anyone could beat anyone on there day..

Four hard truths for Australian rugby

A global rugby calendar needs to be formed and its the south that needs to align with the north(August-May season)… Its a joke the World Cup starts in September when Europe finished its season in May.. French top 14 clubs are very unhappy about the current World Cup schedule and the teams with missing the most World Cup players are struggling the most this season.. Summer rugby is now played in South Africa and works fine in pro 14. We play rugby league and afl in daytime in spring and there have never been player welfare complaints about an afl grand final played during the day in spring on hot days often or semi finals in Perth(afl and nrl have heat rules). Super rugby starts in summer anyway. Just play all games in summer at night in dec-jan. If we had a global rugby calander you could start the World Cup end of July or first week of August.. Steve Hansen this World Cup said rugby needs a global rugby calander(he didn’t say what the dates should be). This is at elite level only, like soccer is winter sport at amateur level but at pro level it’s a spring summer sport season mainly. Getting away from afl/nrl would be sensible for rugby in oz just like soccer/basketball have done as they used to be winter seasons.. rugby like basketball soccer , would be far better off aligning itself with competition seasons in Europe.

The changes World Rugby must make after the World Cup

Four hard truths for Australian rugby

But he opposes AAC selection he says he’s too old which is just plain wrong . And rugby is becoming an 18-40 sport at elite level

Four hard truths for Australian rugby

West Sydney is hot and has no ocean breeze, I’ve been to parammata loads of times and this yr. it’s not a carnival like place and smaller venues or smaller cities and towns are better.. Gold Coast , Byron bay as well . Or in uk, Brighton or Bristol they are hip happening places..

The huge – and long overdue – change in Australian rugby league

Suburban Sydney wasn’t the right place to host a nines World Cup.. It Needs to be held in a more party style place or carnival atmosphere eg Somewhere like Liverpool in UK would be good or in Wigan or Cairns or Gold Coast etc..

The huge – and long overdue – change in Australian rugby league

Get this clear i don’t agree with you about your ageist view on AAC. Saying your over the hill at 35 is nonsense. We’re brad thorn and Richie McCaw over the hill. Brad thorn was 36 in 2011, Richie mccaw was one month short of 35 birthday when he won RWC in 2015. Your view on AAC is so silly. Rugby at elite level is becoming an 18-40 sport. Your just plain wrong . Dan carter has been very successful from age 35 as has ma nonu. Your very wrong there ..
