For the VAR to be considered effective, both penalty “decisions” should have been overturned. Otherwise they should not be part of the decision making process & we should live with Ref’s call. Evans screwed the pooch not once, twice, but three times – with the decision to card the Mariners coaching staff after taking “constructive input” from Kisnorbo who should have been told to STFU in the first instance.

What a dismal performance by the people who should be looking after the interests of the whole game, rather than just the big clubs.
