The Wrap: Rugby learnings of Australia for make benefit glorious nation of Brumbies

I have no idea what that means?

The Wrap: Rugby learnings of Australia for make benefit glorious nation of Brumbies

This was a good final that made me miss Super Rugby a lot, even with a small crowd it seemed like a great atmosphere.
The Reds have a lot of mistakes in them that they need to eradicate before they can win trophies.
Also can anyone tell me why if they play in Canberra they aren’t the Canberra Brumbies?

The Wrap: Rugby learnings of Australia for make benefit glorious nation of Brumbies

Maybe the Aussies should focus on why no one watches your teams rather than making every play you.

The Wrap: Wallabies take shape but Rugby Championships are far from settled

Not strong enough, people on this site always advocating to get rid of African sides from Super Rugby because you hate coming here, yet when you have your own Super Rugby Comp no one watched. Why should the World Champions tour somewhere that doesn’t want them, I’ll happily forego the broadcast money for one year if it sends Australia and NZbroke.

The Wrap: Wallabies take shape but Rugby Championships are far from settled

Aussies get all the publicity and home ground advantage. SA get nothing, after they wanted us out of Super Rugby we should never tour there again.

The Wrap: Wallabies take shape but Rugby Championships are far from settled

It’s a big no from me for the RC, why should we help the Aussies when they haven’t helped us one bit. Let’s focus on the Currie and build up our local players.
Pumas won’t come either, they’re full of COVID.

The Wrap: Wallabies take shape but Rugby Championships are far from settled

I’m not English I’m a Bok, (world Champions baby) but seriously Australia have nothing to brag about atm. You lost 40-16 to ENGLAND! You should be ashamed that England beat you like that. Australia used to be a world class team that everyone feared now they are a Rugby joke, and looking at everyone making excuses for the Force here i can see why.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

I’m from South Africa, know your history we won.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

The English just wiped the floor with Australia in the last World Cup and we won it so there’s that.
World Rugby is in a tricky spot atm and Australia need to start taking winning games seriously again. Celebrating a team for coming last sets a horrible precedent.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

They didn’t win 1 game, it’s a dismal failure. They were kicked out of the comp for a reason.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

Got to agree there TSP, in no way is finishing dead last anything other than an outright failure. Gives us a clue as to why they went so bad in the last RWC being so ok with losing.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

It’s odd that there was a send off for a shoulder charge in the NRL (I’m told it was in a Knights game for a hit to the player that the ABs want?) and not one in Super Rugby.
Pretty average that the Force weren’t able to get one win, even against Melbourne. Shows that the maybe they weren’t ready for the jump to Super Rugby.

The Wrap: The curious and disturbing non-case of Lachie Swinton

Some fairly handy players in there but you should watch last years State of Origin, the NSW fullback is pretty awesome.

Why rugby risks getting the State of the Union all wrong

Also just watched some Origin highlights, man these okes hit!!
Wallabies should sign some of these League backs too, they’d give the AB’s some trouble.

Why rugby risks getting the State of the Union all wrong

I just did a Google search to check the Authors numbers, he’s not wrong State of Origin out rates all the other sports even when the Wallabies play the All Blacks, that’s bonkers.
Looks like Aussie Rugby has some work to do.

Why rugby risks getting the State of the Union all wrong

I’ve never understood how a provincial Rugby League game is bigger than the Wallabies vs The Boks?

Why rugby risks getting the State of the Union all wrong

Once again Australia trying to boss all the other countries around to make themselves rich, you don’t want African teams so we aren’t joking your Champions League.
And if it is a Champions League why are Aussie teams going in it? You guys haven’t won anything for years. Why don’t you just give up Rugby and focus on your NRL? everyone is sick of the arrogance!

Champions League and State of Origin-style fixtures headline Rugby AU's bumper broadcast offering

You Aussies and Kiwis are so lucky you can watch Live Rugby. Question though, why is Western Sydney so pertinent? It comes up in every story or article about Sydney Rugby. Is it some sort of Rugby promised land?

The weekend that made Super Rugby AU

I agree there TSP, World Rugby is bending over backwards for the Aussies.

The Wrap: Super Rugby goes up a level, as Australia and New Zealand eye each other off

Well said Marco, Aussies and Kiwis have been advocating for an African free competition. Especially the experts on the Roar.

The Wrap: Super Rugby goes up a level, as Australia and New Zealand eye each other off

Come to Durban and speak to a Rugby fan, the SA Rugby media is a tool of a PART of the governing body that wants to play NH Rugby. But please don’t look through the lens of a poll and think you speak for Africans.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia must resist being drawn into New Zealand’s spider web

No it is many contributors on the Roar, almost any time there is an article about the future of Super Rugby, Africa and Argentina are dismissed with a few lines like “South African teams will join a European competition ” Without so much as asking an African Rugby fan what they think.
We add to and are invested in the competition and post Covid deserve a seat at the table.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia must resist being drawn into New Zealand’s spider web

Australia don’t even have an agreement beyond this year and your ratings are soft, we have one set in stone and an agreement with SANZAAR.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia must resist being drawn into New Zealand’s spider web

SA Rugby signed a broadcast agreement and put the money into SANZAAR to be shared among all members, you were happy to take it in January when the season starts, now you want us gone. African Rugby belongs in the Southern Hemisphere not matter what Geoff Parkes thinks.
