You could sum up ‘professional’ rugby in Australia since 2000 with one word: Loose.
Performance requires discipline.
Governing requires governance.
Even in sport.
Massive unauthorised spending and undocumented financial obligations are just the latest evidence that effective governance controls are lacking at RA.
How they keep getting people to trust them with money and delivery of important events is one of the great mysteries of the modern world.
The people who belong to their own sport certainly don’t trust or respect them.
