Been in & around for many years, I've played, coached, managed, & even attempted part time reffing, of which I admittedly wasn't that good at. Also been involved, with the Sydney Subbies for quite a few years, on a voluntary basis, back in the 80's & early 90's. So I can honestly say, I've put just as much into the game, as I had taken out, of it.

Time will tell Colin, as I’m pretty sure they’re up there. Especially in the backs but with the forwards, they’re holding their own.

Five surprises, five disappointments and five things to figure out as Super Rugby 2024 reaches the end game

They’d definitely realise that RT, i’m pretty sure, as with the return of ‘ Scooter’ & a few others coming back in, I reckon they’ll be more than up for it. I reckon they’ll take it out.

Good read Harry & an interesting one at that.
Although IMO I think Cale is by far the best in his position amongst the Australian teams ATM, he did fall down in his last outing against the Blues, who did in some ways ‘ Blew’ him away, in falling off tackles ( especially the one that the reserve hooker scored) & was actually brushed aside. IMO i do think he needs to bulk up, a tad, but he is a very good player.
Also don’t write off the Saders as like so many teams they do have an injury problems, especially with them, some being some of their top line players. So looking forward to seeing the likes of Jordan, Taylor & Williams returning to the fold, plus another few of them.

TBH RT, I wouldn’t leave the Chiefs out, in being there in the decider, as I realise they’ve had a couple of hiccups, but they are a better team than that.

We’ll see after this weekends game at Addington JD!! Lol 😂 😢

No doubt Australia will miss their standout player Longbottom in Singapore as he virtually stands head & shoulders above many in the squad. Even the womens without Caslick it won’t be the same without her direction & input. Then with Ashby standing up, most know her Polynesian output into the game.

I’ve conversed with Eric many years ago, with him being a sevens star along with Jonah & Christian earlier, & he did mention that Jonah did see the benefits of Rugby & its global challenges, which he saw overall.

George Nepia made his New Zealand debut 100 years ago, but was he really an All Black at just 16 years of age?

Don’t hold your breath Q!!

Nah TLN the only bound will be them getting tied up with the Landers in the deep South. Go the Landers!!!

Really can’t see the Force taking out the Landers at home Carlin, especially with a few returning quality players returning for the Landers.

Possibly looking at a clean sweep for all the Kiwi franchises this week, as even with the Canes it’s hard to see them going down, after we see how Jamie McIntosh has their forwards firing. The loss of Aumua is a big loss but I’m pretty sure they’ll have him covered. Well they are unbeaten & look good to proceed.
Saders & Landers at home, will hard to beat, even for a top Aussie team, as they both have returning players, with more still to come, so that’s a plus.
Chiefs & Blues, virtually one way traffic, as I really can’t see either the Tah’s or Reds getting up.
Even gone for Moana to take out the Drua, but TBH, there won’t be much in it when comes down to PI nations against each other.

As far as I know they still do have the odd meeting there JD. As being back in Kawerau recently for a whanau tangi, on driving pass there were still horses doing track work there.

Yes it is a great place, Peter.

TBH Peter the Republic is a fantastic place to visit. I was last there in 2013 & had some wonderful experiences whilst there including what was & still is the greatest test match of all time at Ellis Park in Jo’burg.

At least that was one thing Hart got right, as I wasn’t that much of a fan of him, due to his constant whinging before he got the AB coaching job, but Jonah himself was in truth a freak of nature, & to think he was on the verge of not going to the 95 RWC, after being told prior to the event, if he didn’t raise his fitness levels he wouldn’t be going. That now is past history, as we know.

Wanaka & its surrounding areas are far better Peter, especially travelling through the Haast to the West Coast & down into the Arawhata valley. Magnificent country

Do you know Solo, AA?

Well any player playing under the sickness Jonah had, & suffering the same effects of it, mzili, wouldn’t be playing IMO.

As was the case amongst many whanau’s back then OB, as even iwi were badly informed. Then my mother in law, born in Te Teko, explained that to me years ago.

Great read on virtually was OUR first immortal of AB history. A total legend of the game we know in Aotearoa. I’ve been privileged to hear many thing about George in & around the Marae’s all the way up to Tiki Tiki on the East Coast. Yes I did hear about him as a young fella in the Marae at Otakou at Taiaroa Heads, back in the day. It’s a pity he never attended Te Aute, as with it not only being rich in it’s Maori cultural outlooks, it was a college of known history in its location just south of Hastings.
Even to play in every game of that 24 tour by the ‘ Invincibles ‘ was some effort, that I’d say will possibly never be bettered. A magnificent achievement.
I realise we’ve had other standouts & legends, but IMO, Jonah Lomu, will never be bettered. For him to play throughout his career at that freakish level, knowing of the sickness he carried throughout his career, was unreal. Playing at only 70 to 80 % of fitness was something, he did, so we can only imagine if he was at 100% of fitness. He would’ve been more than unreal.

Yep Jacko, & now we have that idiot Sydney radio shock jock belittling SBW due to his religious beliefs in which SBW is right!

Hansen's done Joey Manu no favours comparing him to SBW. He'll be more like RTS - and Foz is the reason why

Possibly Yank now, as they have many sell out properties & companies in Australia. We only have to look at mining where both the Yanks & Poms own over 85% of all mining operations within Australia! Google it

As was Benders brilliance at the back, that was far more noticeable with BB ending up scoring
