Leota is not a very smart footballer. Simple draw and pass in the first 10 minutes and the rebels stroll over. Continually tries to run over tacklers instead of at the gap. Drops the ball on attack repeatedly at crucial times. Ekuasi is such a better all round number 8.

Blues turn it on late to smash Rebels as gun young lock finally stands

I don’t think of ever seen the brumbies play that badly before. That is the second game this year where the forwards did not show up and worst of all showed there soft underbelly

Brumbies 'systematically taken apart by the Blues' in 'non-contest' as Larkham's men cop huge reality check

Still can’t believe Tupou is in the team of the week. Yes one great offload, but still a passenger in general play. You can see why Talakai is infront of him. He never stops cleaning out, supporting, tackling. If you get a chance, watch Tupou when he comes on in the second half, he does everything in his power to avoid getting involved for the first 10 minutes. Something not right with him.

Five things: Lesson Aussie rugby can learn from Kiwis - and why next month will determine whether SR gap has closed

Spot on 1Eye. No intent and when the kicking game failed they still persisted. How can you run a big team around when you continually kick the ball back to them. If you have a poor scrum, where was the game plan to avoid it as much as possible.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

I thought I would do the right thing and go out to the match to support the game I love. Paid for the premium tickets to get close to the action with my better half. Sadly, I think it will be the last time I attend a SRP game due to the poor standard served up by these two totally inept teams. If u14 teams made the basic mistakes that these paid professionals continually make their coach would also be sacked.
I am also beginning to question the motives for some of the comments in the articles published on the roar. Eg praise for Leota and Tupou. Leota dropped the ball cold 4 out of his first 5 times he was asked carry. Just poor for a Wallaby. Once he left the field the rebels replacement bought more enthusiasm and skill. He is also not fit.
Tupou. Where do you start? Unfit, unnterested, completely overweight and always out of position in general play. A passenger. The scrum was going well before he even came on the field. He struggled to even get to the scrum in a timely fashion.
Pietsch, may have bombed a certain try, but he was one of the only Tah players who actually had a crack. Even though Daugunu dropped an easy pass, he was a class above anyone else on the field.
To say I am gutted about that display is an understatement.

'Something's not working': Tahs' Good Friday turns into a nightmare as Rebels recruit Daugunu seals upset win

Unfortunately, he was not alone. If not for Valentino, the Brumbies would have had no go forward from the pack. I think Tom Hopper was even more passive. You can afford to carry a Frost type player if the other forwards are stepping up. They are not.
The Harmon try summed up the difference in the 2 sides. The brumbies defence was passive in this instance and Harmons drive, desire and aggression to get to the line was missing from the Brumbies all game.

Toole stunner sees Brumbies snap 10-year drought in Dunedin as flyer's Test stocks rise

This a bit of a premature article. Can we wait for these guys to get a couple of games under their belt before we have them in the wallabies. It is called form. Ned has been out injured, both Jed and Ed had their first decent game in ages. Liam Wright fits the mould you have suggested for the forwards and has form.

Jed, Ned and Tane Edmed: The direction Joe Schmidt should head to put Eddie era to bed

Yes. TT seems to be a lazy player. Scrums were ok, but I was expecting him to demolish the force prop. May be I should lower my expectations. The force defended well against him and did not allow him to build up any steam. The area he needs to work on is his defence and clean out. Missed some pretty straight forward tackles.

'We needed that': Gordon, Kellaway star in Rebels' epic comeback win as Force capitulate

Just caught up on the replays from last night. To say I was gutted by the performance of the rebels and the force is an understatement. I was really looking forward to some sort of improvement in both teams. Simple basics were only part of it. The lack of enthusiasm or any type of urgency was the biggest culprit. What was happened to Will Harris? Looks massive now, but so timid. No effort to go that extra step or fight. Just going through the motions. I think a few of the big name players in Rebels Force should spend some time in the stands to see if they can find their hunger for rugby again. It’ s not like they will be sacrificing any wins after these performances.

Hurricanes pump Western Force as Achilles heel exposed again in early reality check

I think that is a true statement regarding Bell. I went out to rat park to watch Tahs As vs warringah/manly. If the As are the fringe players looking to break into the match day 23, the Tahs are in for a long season if the have any injuries to key players.

'There is hatred': Reds, Tahs set to spring selection surprises at fullback for grudge match, Force lose trio

I think it maybe the opposite. Too much training and not enough game time. Compare super ruby minutes to Uk/ Europe. 14 club games vs approx 30. Even if you only play one half of rugby in UK comps. You still play more minutes than if you played every minute at super rugby.

'An experienced 10 would have helped': Wallabies open up on on failed World Cup they'll have to 'live with'

It is basically the same losing side for the last couple of years. As bluesfan stated, there are only 4 or 5 that are up to scratch. The rest are questionable and have not worked out. Hopefully, some other cattle will hit form and get selected. Need to move away from some of these names.

Predicted Wallabies team in 2024: Eddie's outcasts back as halves, back-row battles heat up

How is Petaia on this list. Hitting his potential, no. He has had 4 years to gain some sort of composure and develop his stable consistent skills. He has not done it. He is over hyped and needs to spend sometime in club land to get his head right

27 for '27: The stars of the future who will light up Australia's RWC

How is it that Portugal’s back line looks classy and innovative and we look so, so. Portugal bombed 2 tries and should have also had the penalty try. A couple of more composed passages of play and a little bit more forward power, they would have challenged. I have a feeling the wantabies might sneak through given how nervous the Fijians played.

'That wasn't a fluke' - Vamos, Os Lobos! You gave us a bloody brilliant battle - now go beat Fiji

The better team won. Who is the attack coach for the wallabies? This seems to be our weak point. Give it to kerevi or valentini. That is the extent of our attack plan. Great for the under 12s, not so good for international rugby. So predictable.

'Eddie got found out': Jones in spotlight as 'ferocious' Fiji leave Wallabies RWC hopes hanging by thread in 69 year first

Foketi is easily next inline. In his couple of games he has shown he has the maturity and rugby nous for test rugby. He must be on the outer with Eddie. I thought he might have been given a run in these tests. Maybe he doesn’t train well and only plays well.

Wallabies star to have operation on broken hand in latest Rugby World Cup speed bump

I don’t understand how he can be unfit. He is a professional footballer. It’s his job to be fit. Is this another description for lazy?

'C'mon Pone': Inside the 'micro chats' with Eddie that have turned discard into RWC wrecking ball must

This is our Achilles heal. We had parity in the scrum for the first half and remand in the fight. This was aided by a couple of lucky penalties Eg Bell hinging and getting the penalty. Bells scrummaging is suspect. Once we started to go backwards in the scrum, you could see the panic start to set in and the ABs smell blood in the water. Not sure how we resolve this. Do we pick props that are great at this core role and sacrifice the running side. I don’t think tupou is the answer. Just a lazy footballer. Where’s Eddie’ cattle prod when you need it.!!

Studs and duds: Eddie hails 'some kind of monster', Carter fails number one job, 'horrible hint' of 2019 mess

I hope Petaia goes well. I am not placing too many expectations on him. He has not played 13 all year and then suddenly he is expected to hone his craft at test level against the all blacks. As people have noted, 13 requires certain skills and nous that you need to practice before you get to this level. He will be learning on the job, so we need to expect mistakes. I hope that they are only small ones. I wish him the best of luck.

'Yin and yang': Wallaby's full-circle moment to where his midfield combination began

Do we really need another player returning from injury for this World Cup? Surely some game time is required before going from zero time to tests. It is setting up these players to fail and we, of course, will blame the players when they are a yard or 2 behind and lack confidence.

We are talking OZ 9’s. Nothing about the 2 best 9s in the world. Unless they are suddenly available for the Wallabies. Compare Lonergan to Walkabout White

'Cardinal sins' the Wallabies have highlighted they must fix to stand a chance in Bledisloe Cup

I think Ryan Lonergan has the best pass and quickest clearance from a ruck in Oz. White is on the way down, but will be continually picked on reputation. White kills any continuity or consistency in the back line

'Cardinal sins' the Wallabies have highlighted they must fix to stand a chance in Bledisloe Cup

Correct. It was the tackle by Kerevi on a runner without the ball that drew the penalty. It was late and he did not need to make it.

Wallabies player ratings: Wright's rocks and diamonds nature leave 15 jersey open for RWC, winger's perfect night

It is not a matter of being Haters. It is a matter of realising that his time is done. Keeping players that a struggling in a team for sentimental value is one of the reasons why we are trending down in our performances. Hooper is one of the greats. Unfortunately, Hooper was only the 5/6 best no7 in Oz this year and has not been the same since Argentina last year.

Exclusive: Wallabies bombshell as skipper Hooper set to be ruled out of Argentina Test

Did we honestly expect a better result? Too many players that are out of form and picked on reputation and we wonder why we get beaten. Eg Vunivalu M Hooper, Hodge(Foketi must be wondering who he has wronged ), White + limited game time from T Hooper, Cooper and Alaalatoa. That is half the team. It is way past time to move on from the first 4 . M Hooper does not even look like he is interested. Definitely still not in the right headspace.
