Let’s allow this to play out before these guys are hung drawn and quartered. Natural justice provides a right for response. The allegations, and that’s all they are at this stage, are very serious and if found to be true will have serious consequences for those involved. I do find it interesting though that Shaun Burgoyne has stated he knew nothing about this – as a senior player who is indigenous and was a mentor to all young indigenous players at the hawks in his time, I would’ve thought the accusers may have confided in him at some point?

North Melbourne and Brisbane must sack Clarkson and Fagan after Hawthorn racism revelations

Geelong may have shown over the season that they are the better team, however Sydney are probably the harder team of the 2 to beat. Should be a cracker, and the side who takes its opportunities when it has momentum will ultimately prevail. #cats2022

AFL top 100: Who wins the grand final?

Coupled with the fact that Lobb just isn’t very good either.

Footy is full of sliding doors moments in the recruiting space. Back in 2013 Andrew lockyer who was the pies WA recruitment man at the time recommended cripps to the pies in the draft. The club disagreed and we got freeman and shazza instead. Shazza could have been elite if not for being cruelled by injuries. Freeman, not so much, as Borat would say. Point being it’s easy to pick the eyes out of recruitment choices with the wisdom of hindsight, although I’ve always disagreed with the length of terms and dollars offered to Grundy and treloar, and in particular the length. Hopefully we have learnt our lessons.

The Collingwood way: Is pride enough?

Good round up, however i can’t agree with the comment about the lions tigers clash being the game of the finals series. Reckon the cats pies QF wins that one comfortably.

AFL Finals Focus: They made it by the skin of their teeth - but here's why the Swans can still conquer the Cats in the big dance

Let’s hope both teams bring their best, meaning the side who takes their chances will be the victor. Go pies!!!

Can the Swans continue their dominance in Sydney... or will the Pies be too good in the battle of the birds?

Cats by plenty. Comparing the bris wins over Richmond and melb to the cats “unconvincing” win over the pies is apples and oranges. If the cats can apply a similar level of heat as shown in their win over the pies, they will win comfortably.

The stage is set for the Brisbane Lions to cause one of the biggest finals upsets in recent memory

A great read and giggle over my morning coffee 😂 The nepotism at essendon is unbelievable.

Dear Essendon: Please, PLEASE, make James Hird your coach again. Sincerely, everyone

How to create a fairer AFL home and away season for all

The only possible fair way is for each team to play each other twice home and away. That’ll never happen though because the afl wants more teams not less and 18 is already too many to do that. I think it’s inevitable that we’ll end up with a conference type system eventually, probably once we get to 20 teams

How to create a fairer AFL home and away season for all

Pies will need to be more clinical in their finishing to give Sydney a good run next week, but I think that’s easily fixed. All in all probably the most one sided 20pt game you will ever see.

AFL Finals Focus: Fast, furious and fantastic - the Pies hit Freo with everything they fear most

So Greene gouges the bont when he’s the aggressor and man on top and only gets fined, yet Berry being pummled gets a week?? Hmm. Reckon he gets off on appeal

UPDATE: Lions to challenge Berry ban at the Tribunal in desperate prelim bid

Yeah I thought the same. Tonight’s game a sellout evidently, although many mcc members will now likely not show 😂 AFL will have been disappointed in that attendance.

AFL Finals Focus: Here's how the Lions inflicted an upset for the ages... and why an eye gouge could cost them everything

Wayne Carey proves himself a fool yet again. Casino security have zero right to confiscate anything that’s on a person. He then lies to security and says he’s not staying at the crown. They try help the guy out by telling him to get lost without calling the cops then it’s found that he indeed is staying there. A number of staff involved then say he absolutely did not offer the bag to them. Anti inflammatory my ar$€. Just own it man, say you stuffed up and wear the consequence. No one would care after a day or so. Now the saga will drag on and on.

AFL News: Lions' MASSIVE Joe blow hours before semi final, Seven consider axing Carey over Crown 'white powder' incident

A bit harsh Al. Barring the first qtr of the dockers game yesterday, the rest of the game and the other 3 were belters, not just in their closeness but most importantly in the spectacle. I’m sure there have been better finals games standalone in the past, but 4 better in one round? I’ve only been around since the 80s but I highly doubt it.

AFL Finals Focus: Dockers' comeback for the ages completes the best weekend of finals EVER

A good balanced assessment.

This is Geelong’s premiership to lose and that must scare the heck out of them

100% correct. A fact some on here have been quick to dismiss labelling the pies as lucky winning so many close games despite the stats being against them. Since the first sherrin was bounced the most important stat of all has always been, and always will be, the scoreboard.

Why every finals team can win the 2022 AFL premiership... and why they can't

True they are definitely the side to beat (along with Melbourne), however something about the pies this season coupled with their recent history against the cats in qualifying finals points to a pies victory on Saturday. I think the cats will lose Saturday yet still win the flag, against either the pies or Sydney.

Let’s hope for blues supporters sake that cripps doesn’t get run over by the karma bus sometime in the next 2 weeks.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 21

Chris it’d take an extraordinary turn of events for it to be anything but. If they can field their best sides throughout sept then no other side will go close. Having said that however, we all know how things can change quickly with injuries, covid etc. Should be a ripper last 3 rds and finals. Can’t wait!

The unsung heroes who can deliver a flag for Geelong and Melbourne
